I have a celestial bladelock I've been thinking up for a looong time. Unfortunately, I'm usually the DM in games so I have to wait patiently until I can bust it out

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
I've not played it, but one of my backups is a Tiefling who successfully scammed an Empyrean into healing him, then when the scam was found out, he was told he would have to pay off the debt some day. Later on, the Empyrean told him he would be embarking on a quest, for which he would be given magic from Jazirian. Jazirian is the goddess of couatls who, in the Forgotten Realms where the current campaign takes place, is speculated to no longer exist and who doesn't interact with the world. A celestial patron with a touch of Great Old One, if you will.
I'm playing an Aarakocra Celestial Bladelock, using a bound bow as per Xanathar's Improved Pact Weapon. DM and I have a gentleman's agreement to not abuse the flight except when thematically awesome (firebombing a cultist hold with powder kegs to be a very loud, bright distraction). Not my most optimized character, but her theme is glorious. Human worshipper makes a pact with the Phoenix "Goddess" of light to save a bunch of kids trapped by undead in a burning church, dies in the resulting explosion but is reborn in the Phoenix's image. I'll probably dip more than a couple levels into Phoenix Sorcery to complete the flavor, but her current shtick is Green Lanterning up hard light weaponry and causing more explosions.
Flight isn't that effective inside, which limits it, and you have to move a certain distance every round when you're flying even if you don't want to move or else you land rather abruptly. Your character's flight is awesome but isn't unbalancing enough to not use it when you can as long as the "move every round" rule is enforced.
So this isn't so many pages back that I'm not afraid of a rez (just on the 2nd page)
I've picked this path for my current Warlock because of RP thematic reasons and I'm probably going to MC him into Paladin at some point (Short rest smites are juicy and those extra spell slots, even if they are low level, are very useful) and I am just trying to figure out how far to take which class. I definitely am taking C-War to at least 6 for the bonus to radiant and fire damage. The real question becomes do I just dip into Paladin 1-3 levels, go high enough to get the Aura, or go Pal for the rest of the character.
I like it that so many others went for the Celestial Bladelock.
I've got a character lined up with the purpose of confusing my fellow players as long as possible to what class I'm playing this time.
So I created this Tabaxi Celestial Bladelock, Dex based with the urchin background. As celestial I'll have cleric spells, with smites and profficiency in Thieves Tools. :D am I a rogue? Paladin? Cleric or Warlock! May they ponder long on this one :3
I was playing a tabaxi celestial warlock at level 2 until a couple of days ago. I was going to make him a pact of blade with armor o shadows and improved pact blade invocations. I even decided to style of his pact weapon which is a short sword that has a giant tier eye gem in middle of it and whenever i can get devils sight i will be using words "grant me sight beyond sight" while looking through hilts curved sides for flavor reasons :P
Just a question but what race are you? Even if you have 300' range on EB you would only have 60' Darkvision if your race has it and to boot you stated it was dark so I'm assuming no one lit up the battlefield otherwise you staging out of there Darkvision would be pointless.
I'm not playing Celestial yet. I'm a Fiend Chainlock at the moment, but the story hook has come up with this NPC Paladin of Pelor who's determined to rescue me from demonic servitude. Me becoming a Celestial appears to be on the table as a result, and it fits with my character's backstory, so I think it's happening soon.
I'm pretty stoked about it, but I'm not sure what's going to happen with my familiar. Technically, I think he's bound to me and not my patron, so I might just be able to keep him. I'm not sure. Or the DM is probably going to let me have the option of choosing a different Pact. I'm pretty sure it's going to be Tome if that's the case.
I'm attempting a celestial/glamour Vuman build for my character in AL. His reasoning for seeking out the Celestial Patron was because his love died to his mistakes. From that point on, he has determined to not let anyone die.
He's currently level 5 with a 1/4 warlock/bard split. He took Moderately Armored at level 1 to get a shield and medium armor so he can stay alive a bit better. Once he got to level 4 in Bard he took inspiring leader.
Between inspiring leader's and glamour's temp hit points, combined with the healing spells, he's determined to never let someone in his care die again. His only mode of attack is eldritch's blast to keep his hand free for spells.
Once I get to Warlock to level 3, I'll take pact of the chain to have an invisible familiar to administer healing potions to other people at well, increasing my ability to heal even more.
I love celestial warlocks, I'm planning a build for an upcoming game that blends it with divine soul sorcerer on a fierna tiefling and I'm super excited to play it, it's gonna be such a fun healing build.
How can you put the celestial as a patron using this app?
You need to purchase the appropriate content, in this case the class is in Xanathar's Guide to Everything.

"Where words fail, swords prevail. Where blood is spilled, my cup is filled" -Cartaphilus
"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
So I decided to scrap my glamour/celestial build and make them separate classes.
I took inspiration from another player and built a celestial warlock that disguises herself as a cleric. So that means I won't be as powerful as a warlock because I try not to use Eldritch blast. At level 2 I took disguise self to look more like a cleric to hide my true nature (She's also a Tiefling that's on the run so she disguises herself as a human as well.) I also took Fiendish Vigor as that's something that a cleric can learn.
Now I'm debating what to do for level 3 between the chain and tome pact. Chain pact would be more for flavor and backstory of the character. Tome would be more powerful because I can learn fire bolt. Then by level 6, Fire Bolt can gain my CHA to damage. But then I'd still have to find a way to explain how a cleric can cast fire bolt.
Pact of the Chain would allow me to gain the 2 invocations that buff me and my invisible familiar. For me I can always get max healing. And for my familiar I can see through its eyes no matter where it is on my plane of existence.
Granted this doesn't really matter a whole lot as this is an AL character, but it feels nice for a change to have a decent background for my character that feels more than just stats on a paper.

Since you are trying to pass as a cleric why not claim to be a arcana domain cleric? That would explain why you have fire bolt as a cantrip and your knowledge about arcane and some arcane spells that are not available for wizards. you can even use eldritch blast claiming that it is a gift from your arcana god or goddess and only another arcana cleric of the god/dess you claim to be your patron might claim that is not the case; a wizard wouldn't know what your god granting to you another cleric might not know what your specific gods gifts to you either.

That's quite clever! Thanks for that! And that excuse can work regardless if I take pact of the tome or not. The reason for going pact of the chain would be two-fold.
Mechanics wise, I can always give myself full health with Gift of the Ever-living Ones, and my invisible familiar can feed me health potions. Only someone that can see invisible creatures would be able to see them. I can also use them to give me advantage with the help action if I choose to lie about knowing Eldritch blast.
Story wise, she has a daughter she is protecting. Having the familiar and the Voice of the Chain Master evocation allows me to communicate with her more easily as I can send my familiar to her long distance. Plus being able to secretly scout ahead along side say a rogue would be great roleplaying. My character is Lawful evil (the only way to play an evil character in AL) so she looks out for herself first and does what is necessary to protect herself above all others. Healing others is out of necessity to keep up her facade.
Finally, I'm trying to figure out how to pass off hellish rebuke as something a cleric can do... It's one of the warlock spells I'd like to take, especially since as a Tiefling I can cast it once a day. Currently I'm shying away from Hex as I also can't figure out a cleric reasoning for knowing that. Can't rely on the arcana god too much!

Probably whatever celestial entity became your patron done it out of correcting your ways and making you a proper person by granting you healing powers too :P

Why don't you roll it up as a villain and use it against the PC's?

Haha I could, but that would require lots of reworking the character. My idea is of a Dwarf who is very innately good, but very dumb as well
