I can`t decide which last 4th lvl spell to pick for my Divination Wizard. I already have Polymorph and Banishment. Next level (8th) I want to pick Dimension Door plus one of these 3: Greater Invisibility/Watery Sphere/Resilient Sphere. I find it difficult to choose. Too many good spells...:)
A spell I wish I had in real life. It's the D&D version of a money-cheat-code. And wizards need a lotta shinies for funding their spellcraftin'.

Maybe I should have better specified I`m only looking for wizard spells. But thank you for the suggestions!
Secret Chest - Material components worth 5050 gold..? I'm a poor wizard!:D
Fabricate Our party is very combat oriented, but this looks really awesome anyways! Stone shape seems similar (although its more environment dependent)...
@IamSposta wall of fire - I was also considering this, But I plan to take Wall of Force on next level... You think it`s worth taking both?
Gravity Sinkhole. This actually looks the best! I didn`t even know this spell existed, thanks! "Even if it`s in the air" this got me! Mass Effect black holes FTW! :D I might take this, though from your discussion, I must talk to my DM...
If someone in the party has plant growth (and druidcraft wouldn't hurt)....combine it with fabricate for the money cheat code. I will say that the video about this just uses flax seeds for linen clothes, but that just takes the uses of the plant. You can fabricate and sell flax oil as well.
Arcane eye is a great scouting spell so you know what you are walking into and can prepare. Greater invisibility is good too.
So, you admit Polymorph, Banishment & Dim.door are the best spells of that level by excluding them)! :)

Off topic, but Im playing an Arcana Domain cleric right now, and this spell is one of my main complaints about the spells available from its domain spell list. Between Secret Chest, Magic Circle, Planar Binding, and Teleportation Circle, it feels like I am just a very expensive Cleric, especially when also trying to fund useful cleric spells like Glyph of Warding, Hallow, and Revivify

Summon elemental is useful outside of combat too because it lasts an hour, obeys your commands, and you can summon a flyer. It’s useful for scouting and stuff too, especially the air elemental.
Wall of fire is a strong AoE damage dealer too, so that’s something to consider.
Divination wizards cannot take gravity sinkhole without special permission from the DM.

We dont have plant growth :(
I actually want to learn arcane eye outside of the usual spells you get at leveling and thus saving some money (since copying Div.spells cost half for me).
YES to the third point, well at least for me they are the 3 best... But the last is hard to pick :)

For scouting I have an owl familiar, admittably with its limitations compared to Summoning spells...
Pity about the sinkhole, But I`ll ask my DM.
For now I`m leaning toward Fabricate. It seems quite good as a money maker and as utility spell, but I'm considering also Wall of fire and Greater invisibility.

You would need a druid, bard, or ranger for plant growth.
I LOVE the spell Secret Chest (despite its rather spendy components). Not a combat spell, but so useful(although we don’t track every pound of encumbrance at our table, we do try to maintain a sense of realism regarding how much stuff you can schlep around) and so much flavor.

Gravity Sinkhole is a Wizard spell, and can be learned by wizards. Whether or not he finds the spell is what is up to the DM. But that's just true in general for all scrolls anyway.
I posted the rules about it earlier, did you miss that?
Evard’s Black Tentacle is quite powerful, but I particularly really like Fire Shield. It’s not that good for Diviners, but it’s a must pick for Abjurers.

Which spell do you like the most and why?
Any help will be appreciated!
Secret Chest
I don't like the idea of wizard having to lug around a bag. It ruins the fashion. It keeps stuff safe for you.
Fabricate

I’m personally a big fan of arcane eye, sickening radiance, summon elemental, and wall of fire myself.

The spells I like are:
Evard's Black Tentacles
Gravity Sinkhole looks promising.
Nobody likes Polymorph?
I would like Giant Insect except you need insects in order for it to work. Who carries around insects or is lucky enough to have them crawling nearby?
Shadow of Moil
"Sooner or later, your Players are going to smash your railroad into a sandbox."

"real life is a super high CR."

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
-Ilyara Thundertale
Blight
But I tend to DM, so my wizards are often evil necromancers.
I got quotes!
Gravity sinkhole, giant insect, and shadow of Moil aren’t available choices for a divination wizard.

Wizards, even divination, can learn Gravity Sinkhole.

Stone shape. Make your own doors and reshape the battlefield on the fly.
Oops. Needed to read the OP better.Oh haha! I missed/ignored that bit.

Blight - Just no, my char. hates necromancers :D
Evard's Black Tentacles. Looks OK, but I`ve had Web for 4 or 5 levels now and I still didn`t use for great effect + Dex saves are bad...
sickening radiance Looks good except the CON save... But this would be a good combo for my Telekinetic feat.
summon elemental We are a party of 6, fights take a long time, so no summons:(

Wall of Fire is really good for area denial and outright damage.
Wall of Force has multiple uses but you would have to be creative in order to do damage with it.
