I am developing a whole new world and with that many new subclasses and races. I have been building all of them in D&D Beyond which has taken over a year now. I was developing a subclass using the class features option to give the player some choices in making their character. Here are a couple of the problems I have been coming up against while doing this. Using the feature options, I cannot give the spellcasting ability and cannot level override die types or amounts for any individual options.
Public Mod Note
(Davyd):
Moved to general feedback
1. Using the feature options, I cannot give the spellcasting ability.
I'm going to refer you to the 2nd half or so of this post. Specifically...
Spellcasting?
This section can cause some confusion.
For classes with no innate spellcasting (Barbarian/Fighter/Monk/Rogue) - make sure to set this to NO unless you are adding spellcasting through the subclass, at which point you should set this to YES. If you leave it blank, it may cause issues.
For classes that do have innate spellcasting (all the other ones) - make sure to set this to NO or leave it blank, as you aren't adding spellcasting.
Also note that, for a subclass to add spellcasting to a class that doesn't normally have it, you will need to add a subclass feature SPELLCASTING.
It should be noted that this site isn't really designed as some homebrew showcase or "here's everything for my homebrew world" . You can publish homebrew but the tools are limited. Homebrew was an afterthought, not the design intention.
If you want a "world" with characters, classes, races and stuff - then consider something like WorldAnvil.
1. Spellcasting. Mairondil has linked this appropriately but the basics are: set spellcasting to yes, have a feature named Spellcasting.
2. You cannot override the die types for already existing things. You can create features from feats or subclass or race that create custom actions which can use any die type you want, however. If you detail specifically what you're trying to do, then we can try to help.

Can you restate your second problem?
