So following Jab136's advice about adjusting the Int Score I made a video showing how to make a homebrew magic item that will just max your int score, letting you equip, prep, unequip all rather easily.

this is a phelosophy that should change. ideally every single character option on your sheet should of had a modifyer that could be updated. this would of stream lined making official content and homebrew all through the same interface.

I’m not entirely sure which of my posts you responded to here. Needless to say I agree with you, but there’s nothing I can do about that. I don’t work here, I just live here.
Along the lines of, "wish I could manually add more prepared spells", it appears that the Signature Spells feature for level 20 Wizard do not appear to reflect outside of the prepared spell limit as they should: ("You always have these spells prepared, they don’t count against the number of spells you have prepared, and you can cast each of them once at 3rd level without expending a spell slot.")
My level 20 wizard was lucky enough to read a manual to increase her intelligence to 22, and she has the Grimoire Infinitus (which we established, is still broken in this regard). So base, she should have 26 prepped leveled spells. (It's showing 31 total, so -5 cantrips.) But when I count through the prepared leveled spells, I'm counting 26 INCLUDING the Signature Spells. (edit: I've counted several times by now)
So this is another problem with Beyond's character sheet: the Signature Spells for lvl 20 wizard are still counted within the prepared leveled spell limit.
Please if I need to post this elsewhere to report the bug, let me know.

Feature works fine for me.
I'm going to assume you have added stuff wrong somewhere? Possibly? Do you have a link to the character sheet or screen shot?

Ok.....so that solved it. actually XD Sorry for the trouble. but glad that worked, WHEW.
Edit: PROBLEM SOLVED:
To reiterate, if you are having problems getting the right amount of prepared spells with a level 20 wizard, make sure you UNPREPARE the spells you intend to use as Signature Spells, BEFORE you add them into the feature in the editor.
Edit 2: That said, still hope they'll add support for Grimoire Infinitus and perhaps a good homebrew modifier that we can alter if needed. I'm going to try the increase intelligence temporarily trick to see if it works.

I'd make a homebrew copy of the subclass. Add a new subclass feature with whatever name and description, save it, then click Add a Spell and set the following:
Spell School: Wizard
Ability Score: INT
Consumes Spell Slot: Yes
Counts as Known Spell: No
Always Prepared: Yes
Is Infinite: (Checked)
Then you can swap your wizard to the new subclass. Each time you select a spell, a new dropdown will appear to let you select another.
i tried this with a feat but the spell did not actually show up under prepared, nor did it show up under actions
Only subclass features and species features can do this (this is why spamandtuna says 'make a homebrew copy of the subclass'). So, feats and magic items won't work.
It also won't show under actions because it's not an action, you'd need to choose the spells using the feature in the Character Builder not on the sheet.

It really is unacceptable at this point. They should have left the previous bug alone.
There are many ways a character could have the ability to prepare more spells then the default number, even as simple as GM fiat.

Ok, so I'll screenshot:

First my spellbook with the prepared number of leveled spells shown:
Next, Prepped list, counted amongst the 26 leveled spells are my Counterspell and Fireball.

Finally, in the level editor, It's showing Counterspell and Fireball as easy as pie.

Maybe I counted the spells wrong but I think not. There are 26 spells in there, but 2 of them should not count toward my prepped list.

Edit:
Should show that I'm unable to prepare more spells than this:
Wait, gonna try something. Undo the level 20 feature. Unprepare counterspell and Fireball. redo the level 20 feature. See if it works...
Ok.....so that solved it. actually XD Sorry for the trouble. but glad that worked, WHEW.

about two years later and im running into the same issue for my wizard that just acquired the grimoire infinitus.
for someone who isnt terribly tech savvy and a dm whose player is relatively new, whats the easiest way to give him more prepared spells?

uh does this still work??
Assuming you're talking about the trick to increase Intelligence temporarily to let you prepare more spells:
For 2014 Wizard, yes.
For 2024 Wizard, no, since spell preparations are no longer tied to Intelligence.
-
Assuming you're talking about making a subclass feature to add the spells: Yes, for both rulesets.
