So I've been trying to make a homebrewed wolf sidekick (expert) for a campaign being DM'd by someone else. But the site won't let me share it so the dm can add it to the campaign because it says its to Similar to "Channon's wolf" under the link (https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/1733567-channons-wolf) a dead link. Searching it up doesn't show anything either. So, I can't publish my homebrew for sharing with the campaign due to a similar creature that seemingly does not exists.
You don’t have to share it for the DM, all homebrew in your homebrew collection is automatically shared within the campaign to every other player in the same DDB campaign.
Since you two are in a campaign together you can send your DM the URL for your homebrew and they can add it to their collection without it being published.
I just got the same bizarre message for a Dire Wolf variant I'm working on. "COPY_OF_Dire Wolf is currently too similar to Channon’s Dire Wolf to share with the community." No such critter exists anywhere that I can find.

See section Ω of the Homebrewer’s How-To FAQ, under “General Homebrew and Basic Troubleshooting.” Generally, this sort of bug happens because you’ve tried to make a homebrew that’s too similar to something already in the game. It can also be an indicator that the description is too short. Sposta can explain it better than I can lol.

It should....But it Doesn't. only way to get it in game is if the DM adds it to their library.

I have also been asking for help about this SAME issue! Are you making a Welton Wolf by chance?
