I have a player that wants to play a profane soul blood hunter but he can't choose his patron. He wants archfey and I can't seem to figure out why the content isn't available to us. Please advise.
Blood hunter is Critical Role homebrew and entirely free, there is nothing to purchase. That said, I'm also not sure how much of the Patron stuff is actually functional on the sheet. Have you selected either Order of the Profane Soul (INT) or Order of the Profane Soul (WIS)?
To follow up on pocketmouse’s question: a quick test on my part established that there are three profane soul options. Two that specify a casting stat (the two pocketmouse referenced) and one that does not. The one that does not has no list under the choose a patron drop down. So your player needs to switch to one of profane soul options that includes a casting stat reference.

You have to choose either “Blood Hunter (Int)” or “Blood Hunter (Wis),” not just “Blood Hunter.”
