This is a reoccuring issue I've come across since I first started homebrewing creatures and has occured on at least four seperate devices. The way it most often presents itself is when I copy past a paragraph and then want to make changes. I click on the part of the text I want to edit, the cursor shows up there. Then I try to use backspace to remove text I don't want and the cursor jumps to the end of the paragraph and deletes the period there. This occurs about three times before the cursor actually stays where I want it to.
This is a general issue with all of the WYSIWYG textboxes on this site, though I'm unsure of where the fault lies; what browser are you using? This issue occurs for me in Safari on macOS, so if it happens for you on another browser that might eliminate browser support as the issue.
It seems it may have something to do with the underlying HTML, I've noticed the editor has trouble when you've copied bolded and italic text, and if you look at the HTML view (the </> button) you can see it'll be a mess of <strong> and <em> tags and also sometimes <b> and <i> tags which the editor doesn't seem to support properly, yet somehow ends up in there), and it struggles most when they're not "clean", for example when you end up with <em></em> which serves no purpose (no text in the middle). This seems to cause it trouble knowing where the cursor should be, so it jumps back to an opening tag that's nowhere near where it should be.
It's especially annoying when homebrewing sub-class features in the newer style where they start with the italicised line "Nth-level <subclass name> feature" as when I then start typing the first proper paragraph of rules text underneath, backspace often jumps me back up to the italicised line and ends up deleting something or moving everything onto that one line, forcing me to separate it again.
I can't recall having problems like that on other websites, but I also spend a lot less time in WYSIWYG text editors on other websites, whereas I've fallen fully down the homebrew rabbit hole on DDB. 😂
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

I'm using Chrome on windows. I homebrew a lot of creatures and this happens at least once in everything I build and it's driving me crazy.
Are you running any ad/popup blockers, browser extensions, or a VPN? One of those might be interfering with DDB.

I used to on an older pc. On my current one I have no extensions and I experienced the issue on both.
