Beast Master is not a free subclass, you need to purchase it, either by purchasing the subclass individually, or the PHB as a whole. You can also use the homebrew tools to recreate it, if you don't want to pay for it.
I have the same problem so I went to read the PHB and it has Beastmaster in it yet when it explains what an archetype is it doesn't state beastmaster as one you can choose

Have you bought the PHB on here?

I also bought the PHB on D&D Beyond (I just looked at it), and only Hunter is showing up. I've seen this issue brought up in 2018, I believe, so I know it's been going on for quite some time. I guess I can assume it's not something they're going to fix. Yay.

Yeah, they are synced. Still no option for beast master; just hunter. Because this has been going on for so long I don't expect it to be fixed. They don't appear to be interested in customer feedback at all.
If you bought the 2014 PHB, then you'll need to enable the Legacy source in the character builder.
And it's not about whether they care about feedback or not. Only one subclass is available for free in each class. A lot of people get confused because they expect every class, subclass, etc to be available for free or if they bought the physical version. So if you bought the digital PHB here and only see one, then it's most likely an issue with source selection or entitlements not being synced.
If your entitlements are synced and you have the right sources enabled, then you may need to contact customer support to resolve the issue with your purchase.

Hello,
I bought the 2014 PHB only; I don't have any of the 2024 content. I also have "legacy" enabled but I know this has been an issue with other people for some time. And all my content appears to be synched.
Thanks! I might just have to have to home brew this (as soon as I figure out how to make that work).

Just to clarify, it is not enough to just turn on the Legacy toggle. You need to ensure that you have selected the legacy version of the Ranger class on the Class tab. What you're describing is exactly what happens if you select the Core/2024 version of a class without owning the 2024 Player's Handbook.

Thanks a to for that; I had no idea. It's ridiculous how much the 2024 content has polluted so much in DDB for those of us choosing to play the 2014 edition. It is getting very difficult to keep everything straight and is hindering game play. I do appreciate your help.
I am trying to do the ranger class. I got shared books like Taasha's but it still doesnt show the Beast Master class. Only the hunter. Any idea if it works at all with shared content only? It should.

You've likely chosen the 2024 version of the Ranger class without having access to the 2024 Player's Handbook.
If you want to use the Beast Master subclass from the 2014 rules, make sure that "2014 Core Rules" is checked on the Home tab of the character builder, then go to the Class tab, remove the class you've selected, then scroll down and select the 2014 version of the Ranger class instead. It's in the "2014 Core Rules" section, not the "Core Rules" section.
So i’m porting my characters from paper to DnD Beyond and the Beast Master Subclass is missing. Anyone know why?

I see. To be clear, you bought the 2024 PHB or the 2014 PHB?

Be advised as well that shared character options can only be used in the campaign that's sharing them.
