I just bought the collection and was about to create the goblin gunslinger I'm currently playing on paper, but I cant find the option to add any subclass, homebrew nor "cannon" only the standard players handbook classes and Matthew Mercer's blood hunter. When it came to adding sub races/variants or homebrew races, it was very straight forward, click the drop down menu and select what you want or click the hyperlink to browse the homebrew stuff, but the options weren't there when it came to classes. I assume I'm blind and missing something, but I'll still put this here in case it helps some other poor, blind soul.
Your character has to be at the appropriate level to access subclasses (aka archetype). So, for a gunslinger, you need to have a 3rd level fighter. You do this on the class tab of the character builder. Near the top on the right is a drop down for level (the default is 1). Shift it to 3, and you will see a martial archetype option appear in the list of features. It will have a ! In the upper left corner of the box because you need to make a choice there.
Different classes choose their archetype/subclass at different levels (none later than level 3)
I have a problem related to this, I was trying to use the 'Circle' subclasses for a druid. How do I use these Circles? I am only asking because I looked at all the level additions but it wasn't there, the only things you can change (without going into one of the circle of land or unoficcial content options).
Advance character to 2nd level in the character editor (not the sheet).
In the class details tab there will be a drop down for the subclass. Click, choose the subclass. Done.
* Not all subclasses are free. Each base class from the PHB has 1 subclass free. The rest need to be purchased from the marketplace. The alternative is be in a campaign where somebody has enabled Content Sharing and somebody in the campaign has previously purchased the subclasses.

So I can't use the homebrew as my subclass/druidic circle?
You can, if you have homebrew toggled on/red (home tab of editor, preferences on sheet).

To add to what Emmber said: in order to add published homebrew to your collection (so you can use it in the builder), you must have a subscription: both Hero and Master Tier subscriptions will get you that benefit. If you don't have a subscription, you are limited to homebrew you create yourself or--for characters in a campaign--to homebrew that is shared in a campaign.
I think it's just something wrong with my computer, I've tried logging out and logging back in to my computer and D&D Beyond and I've restarted my computer, do any of you have any ideas what else I could do? I am still trying different ways to get it working, I'll tell you if I do.

-It would help us help you if you answered Emmber's question: have you added the homebrew to your collection?
If you could post a link to the homebrew in question, that would also help us sort it out.
Given that you think it may be an issue with your computer: Are you using a VPN? Any add blockers or extensions? Those have all been known to cause problems with DDB.
Okay, note that Firefox doesn't like homebrew creations for D&D Beyond. That was the problem, the browser. So, not to anyone else who happens on this forum, try a different browser.

Okay, I was just saying for anyone else who had this same question that it could help if they used a different browser, be it because of ad or popup blockers, VPN's, or anything else.
Firefox works fine. I use Firefox and use an adblocker. Works perfectly fine for me.

Homebrew is on.
Have you added the homebrew you want to your collection?

I have added them to my collection, and it's a problem with a blocker (thank you for mentioning that, I do need to check that).

It was likely not the Firefox itself, but more likely a Browser Extension, ad/popup blockers, or VPN interfering with DDB’s functionality.
