Hi,

I'm having a really hard time getting the Starting Equipment in my homebrew backgrounds to work. I really just don't understand that part of the creation process. Either none of my items show up in the character builder, or every one of them has an "OR" choice when the background is supposed to grant them all. What's more, I have no idea how to grant a pool of items where some of them are "OR" choices and some are not. 

All help greatly appreciated. I've pretty much given up on homebrew backgrounds because I can't make this piece of it work.

Also need help with this. Anyone know how to fix this?

This didn't answer any of my questions. It just said "Add Equipment" and didn't actually explain how to do much of anything in that segment.

Here is what I'm having trouble with.

The background is supposed to give the player an option of choosing one of three took kits but when I follow the instructions in the homebrew section, it just gives them all three of them. How do I actually create a list of choices rather than just giving them all three? I've been fiddling for a few hours now and can't get it to work.
