Interesting. I can reproduce on my iPhone, but on my IPad in landscape, it words fine: the iPhone interface is missing a “add a racial trait” button under or by the Racial Traits +/- sign.
Do you have access to a tablet or a computer? You should be able to make it work from there until they can address the bug on mobile.
Is it still true that homebrew subraces do not group under their homebrew parent race in the Character Builder's "Choose a Race" page? If so, then no surprise. But if they are now supposed to, then what setting(s) or preparation(s) should I apply so my homebrew race and subraces can display in the same manner as Dragonborn, Dwarf, Elf, Genasi, etc.?
So with that in mind, the "Edit the Prerequisite for ..." if I am adding a prerequisite for a spell to be limited to a homebrew race that I created, I cannot select the homebrew race that I created. It just lists the current official races, there is no other available to select and a manual text box to enter, so we cannot create prereqs for our homebrew directly related to race, correct? Is there anything in the works of making an other button?
I know my post is coming late to this thread, but as of this date, these issues still have not been addressed with any updates. Homebrew subraces continue to be laid out separate from each other, instead of using the updated format.
In addition, I have experienced another weird issue. I homebrewed all new versions of the PHB races and subraces. Yes, I changed parent races in addition to their subraces. Now, for some reason, all of the Dwarf subraces I made got grouped into the published Dwarf dropdown in character creation. I was concerned this would mean that my subrace options would come with the published Dwarf features when chosen. This turned out to not be the case, which was great. My howebrew Dwarf subraces maintained their hombrew Dwarf parent race features.
Even though this is annoying, it's not a problem. It is, however, weird. I literally built every single one of these homebrew parent races and subraces the same way, but this situation only occurs with the Dwarf. Elves, Halflings, Gnomes... They are all spread out separate from the published ones. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
Good question! You need to use a hosting site like imgur and then post the link here.

for some reason, my homebrewed subrace of my homebrewed race only has the ability score increase of the parent race, not the subrace
Wrong thread, you want this one:

It depends on which race (if any) you chose for the “Racial Group.”

Ah, interesting. I somehow didn't even realize I selected that. Thank you.
Yup. The whole reason it doesn’t work for homebrews is because our homebrewed races aren’t available to select there.
You may not have selected that, if you used templates it might have happened automatically.

After 7 years, is it still impossible to make the homebrew parent race appear? I really wanted my homebrew race to appear...
