is there a list somewhere of the variables that can be used in Descriptions and Snippets for example {{1 + modifier:cha}} I would like to use these but for example this one would give me +5 if my characters cha was 18 but I dont need the plus I just want 5
The short descriptions on features, traits, and feats also include some simple code to auto-calculate a variety of numbers for ease of use. The syntax for this code is "{{inserthere}}" and can use math. The full list of available options are:
{{spellattack}} - your spell "to hit" {{scalevalue}} - a class-specific value, such as Rage Damage for a barbarian {{modifier:str}} - a modifier for an ability score (str, dex, con, int, wis, cha) {{savedc:str}} - generates your Save DC using the specified ability modifier (str, dex, con, int, wis, cha) {{fixedvalue}} - the fixed number from the feature or trait {{classlevel}} - level in the contextual class {{characterlevel}} - total character level {{proficiency}} - your proficiency bonus {{maxhp}} - your maximum hit points {{limiteduse}} - total number of uses for the contextual feature or trait

Do you know where it's possible to find a list of things like [Tooltip Not Found] [Tooltip Not Found] etc... It would be very helpful too.
Is there a way to use a damage modifier that depends on the character? For example, a {{modifier:casting}} or something for spells that depends on the spellcasting ability (which is tied to the character, not spell); or a {{modifier:finesse}} that would be the higher of Dex or Str; or {{modifier:monk}}, which would be Str for most, but Dex for monks or other characters possess the Martial Arts ability?

So i have tryed to add the {{modifier:wis}} to my custom spell but when i see the spell on my character sheet it just writes {{modifier:wis}} plain on the sheet instead of writing the number. What am I doing wrong?
Hi! I was wondering if you could help me. I'm trying to use a snippet to multiply Con modifier times class level and am coming up with errors. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I'm really interested in this too!
I would love a list like this! Looked around and couldn't find one. I started recording the ones I've found:
classlevel - Returns the character level
@rounddown - Can be used in math equations to round the result down - i.e. {{(classlevel / 2) @rounddown}}
savedc:str - returns the Save DC based on your character's attribute + proficiency bonus
spellattack:wis - return's your character's spell attack bonus based on the chosen attribute
modifier:dex - returns the character's modifier based on the chosen attribute
NOTE: These only work within {{ }} tags. Also, they only appear to work within Snippet blocks, not in Description blocks.
Snippets are explained near the bottom of this changelog post:

Ooo nice. Another item of worth the original poster: you can add #unsigned to remove the +/- from a modifier.
So use {{1 + modifier:cha #unsigned}}

Or does anyone have one?

There's a sticky thread in the homebrew forum that has all the available snippets. I update that whenever a new snippet code is added.

So i have tryed to add the {{modifier:wis}} to my custom spell but when i see the spell on my character sheet it just writes {{modifier:wis}} plain on the sheet instead of writing the number. What am I doing wrong?
These snippets work in only the "snippet" locations. are you trying to use them somewhere else? If so they won't work.
Question:
Is there anyway to make a calculation combining two (or more) of the snippet codes?
For example: {{classlevel + modifier:int}}
Yes. You can see how to combine snippets, as well as asking people very familiar with their snippets here:

That should be {{(modifier:con)*classlevel}}
