I tried to post a LFG here, https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/looking-for-players-groups/20912-graz-styria-austria and it was instantly marked as spam. I presume that's because I used the word Q U E ... R which has been reclaimed by the LGBTQ community and is not a slur; can you explain to me why this word is blocked? For sake of clarity, it is highly important for me to look for a group that is Q-friendly, because I don't want to end up in a group with homophobic people, out of my own safety.

The spam filter is, as you surmised, an automatic process that adapts and learns keywords and phrases that indicate the likelyhood of posts being spam.
The moderator team review the spam filter several times a day, to check that it hasn't flagged any posts that it shouldn't have - doing this also helps it learn.
I can confirm to you 100% that your post was not flagged due to any bias against the LGBTQ community. Such bias would be against the inclusion that this community stands for.

Weird, huh? I investigated a bit further and it seems that we have recently had a fair few spam-bot posts that have included the word austria in their text .... a LOT. Why, I have no idea, but they did and this raised the relevance of that word as far as the spam filter is concerned.
