yes, what you're seeing is correct - the official races are grouped by a "race header" and, at this time, only the official races that have subraces have race headers.
I understand this isn't as intuitive as it could be - hopefully there'll be a way to group homebrew subraces under the homebrew parent race at some point in the future. :)
That's under an already built race, I would like to display it under a homebrew race, couldn't work out any way to do so. I've used the one in your screenshot heaps. It would be nice if I could select my homebrew races under the "race group" section.
Yes, I would also like to know if there will be progress on this, since it was originally posted 4 years ago. I would also like to have a drop down menu for my homebrew race.

I've just created a race and with it, 3 subraces. I was hoping that it would be formatted like the elf
when it comes to character creation like this:
But instead, the original race is not visible and the 3 subraces are each there but spread across the race
selection in alphabetical order.
I'm under the impression I've done everything right, is this the only way to make hb-subraces appear??

That's fine for now, I fully support this project so I will wait patiently. :)
But I'm holding out for Homebrew Races to have race headers in the not too distant future.
