My players get trouble whenever they try to play as a homebrew race or subclass in one of my campaigns. It's always a different error, but when I try to set the class or race or whatever in question, I do not get an error. I'm unsure why this happens. No errors with official content.
I posted this in the big thread but didn't get a reply in over a week so I started my own thread. Would appreciate any help.
It really just seems to be anything they try to set it to they get an error, but me, as the group DM, when I try to set it I get no error. Thanks for the help!
From what I've seen in other threads and tested myself, I think it is any homebrew that was added to collection from public homebrew then shared to other players through content sharing.
Yes I think so. I don't know for certain if any of them have the homebrew added themselves, but I do have content sharing enabled so they can use the Guildemaster's Guide to Ravnica races for our campaign, as well as the Curse of Strahd content for the other campaign I run.
One of my players had the same problem. When they tried to use someone else's homebrew that I had added to my collection in a campaign I was content sharing in, they got an error screen.
Is the homebrew they are trying to use someone else's that is in your collection? If so, thats why. A master tier subscription only allows sharing official content. They need a hero tier subscription to use public homebrew that isn't one of the players or DM's.

That wasn't the way it used to be. And if that is the case, why would the option to choose the public homebrew option show up at all, only to crash?
Not sure about the way it used to be, since I think my players and I were always using one of our homebrews through the campaign sharing, but I agree that it should either not show the other homebrew options or just allow it to be shared.

Hi, I need you to provide the following for the devs team:
1) URL of your players' character sheet;
2) URL of the campaign page;
3) URL of the faulty homebrew.
Well, it's happening to just about everything that they try to use but I'll link the ones that have had issues.

Does that sound accurate VapeMasterMiller?

I have whatever the highest tier is. I figured j could use my collection in my content sharing.
This is one of the errors I got from one of my players.
