I don't know if this is a bug, but I ran into two major problems with the Shield of the Hidden Lord.
1. The description for the Shield gives away all of the lore associated with it for Descent Into Avernus. My star player who took the shield is now spoiled and I have to essentially chuck and rewrite that entire section with the Pit Fiend inside of it. Now granted I should have checked that adding the item to my character's inventory was going to do this, but it remains a reasonable mistake you should consider-- lore items that contain secrets and are added to Player Inventory can spoil them on future campaign content.
2. The Shield says +4 to AC in the item descriptor on the character sheet, and when attuned the Shield gives a full benefit of +4, but the writing on the page says it is a standard +2 to AC. Which is it? I'd prefer +2 as giving the Shield to my level 4 characters has already made them extremely powerful, but +4 wouldn't be bad. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not.

While I can understand the frustration here - this is working as intended. We always mirror the content published by Wizards of the Coast.
That being said, another moderator in this thread suggested that you create a copy of the shield as a homebrew item and add it to their character sheet. That way whenever you drop a relevant lore bomb on them, you can update the homebrew version of the item and it'll update for the player's character sheet (without notifying them iirc). It'll be super sneaky. :D

This is intended - The Shield of the Hidden Lord is a +2 Shield. When equipped and attuned to, you get a +4 to AC.
Hellfire Weapon page displays list of weapons with +1 damage. The item's description does not mention extra damage, nor does the character sheet show +1 damage. Just the chart needs fixed.

Thank you for the report. A mistake was definitely made there - I have now fixed that.
Hellfire heavy crossbow is showing up as antimatter rifle.
Hello! Can you let me know if this item is still appearing incorrectly for you? If it is, would you be able to link a character with this item in their equipment so we can take a look? Thank you!

I just introduced the Shield of the Hidden Lord to my team running the Descent Into Avernus module. As per the storyline, I didn't reveal it's fiendish nature to the cleric(!) who ended up with it. They learned it was called the Shield of the Hidden Lord, so the person running the cleric went into his D&D Beyond character sheet/Equipment and added it to his equipment list. No problem...except the Shield's description went into full detail about the pit fiend inhabiting it, it's personality, name, history, wants, etc. This was supposed to be revealed later in the game! The player now knows EVERYTHING about the Shield, and it'll be next to impossible for him to simply forget that the Shield is a pit fiend who will try to corrupt him at every turn! I'm very irked at D&D Beyond for putting all this hidden DM information on the Equipment item description. You've spoiled a key, fun part of the game. Instead I beg you to revise this item in the Equipment listings, and simply put in the item's abilities, then a note to refer to the DIA module for additional information and lore. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I sincerely hope none of your other Equipment listings contain game-crushing spoilers such as this one did.
I just purchased the vehicles section of Descent, so I'd be able to roll attacks and damage when operating the vehicles weapon points, in our Roll20 campaign (already bought the whole content once there). All the purchase appears to do is give me access to the vehicle fact sheet, which I already had.
Why did I just waste money? The expectation with purchased content from DDB is that I'll be able to use the feat/equipment/item/whatever and roll it's functions digitally. Yet this seems to be non-existent in this case.
I can track the vehicle hit points though! Also, a pen and paper would do that...

Right now dice rolls only work on the character sheet and in the combat tracker. Combat tracker dice are not currently linked to monster (or vehicle) stats, all that is available is the button you can click and choose what dice to roll. There are plans to expand the functionality eventually.

There is an extension called beyond20 - check it out.

Thanks, I do use this currently, as we use roll20 as our VTT, and DDB for character sheets (which I think are far superior to the ones in roll20!).

Thanks for the response. I'll be more 'buyer aware' with my next purchase and do my research. We were all just excited to get our hands on an infernal engine for the first time, so I instantly bought it in DDB :)

You are welcome. I forgot to mention that there are some Chrome extensions (D&D Beyond Interaction and D&D Toolbox) that might let you do dice rolling (but not with DDB's dice) for statblocks.

You can add the vehicle to the character sheet as an "extra" in D&D Beyond. Then when you click on the Vehicle in that section, a sidebar appears, which Beyond 20 integrates with, and you can click on the dice & abilities from that sidebar to have the rolls appear in roll20.
The stat block for Mahadi the Rakshasa shows Mahadi as have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from nonmagical attacks. However, the stat block in the book shows Mahadi as having immunity to these instead.
Chapter 3 Pg 82, Mad Maggie's entry says opens a parentheses about Night Hags magical items, and references Soul Coins to page 94, which is the Hellwasp Nest.
Is this supposed to reference Soul Coins on page 226? If so could that get corrected and could a close parentheses be included at the end of the Night Hags magic items sentence?

You aren't reporting a problem in the physical book to the digital bugs thread are you?
DDB does not deal with physical production or take part in issuing official errata.

In Chapter 3 in the table of contents, there is a link to "Travel to the Circle". No such section exists in the compendium.
