Hi - Having the same issue. I've purchased the PHB online and the only option that comes up for my Level 3(now level 4) Half-Orc Barbarian is Path of the Berserker. Is there something I need to do to enable this option?

mkelandis - you say you bought the PHB - is that the full version or just the compendium? The compendium is just the book to be viewable online - it does not give you the options to be used in the DNDBeyond character builder and so on.
I created the character and then dropped it into a campaign to be claimed by someone with a different login so they could manage the character. This appears to be the issue. I created a separate test barbarian under my account and the totem warrior shows up. Would I be able to pull that character back to my account, add the option and then release them back into the campaign? I want to be careful not to delete the character accidentally.
Does anyone in the campaign have a master tier subscription? If so, and they turn on Content Sharing, then everyone in the campaign can use your PHB, and it shouldn’t matter who has the character. If not, and they unclaimed it and you reclaim it you can make the changes and then switch the character back and it should still continue to work.
ok - the claimer is actually my wife's account and I don't see a way to unclaim it whilest logged in as her. will also look into the master tier thing, but we're new to dnd so.i am reluctant to make a giant investment at this time.
In her account, instead of going to the character sheet, go to the Campaign page and it can be unclaimed there. And FYI, an annual Master Tier Sub for DDB coasts about the same as an annual X-Box account, around $60 (US), so if you do decide to give it a try, it isn’t a “giant” investment. Also, if one of your other friends is in the campaign and they fave a Master Sub, that’s all that’s needed. As long as someone in the campaign has it, and turns on content sharing, then every book that anyone has purchased can be shared by everyone in the whole campaign.
A friend of mine has the Master Tier subscription and I am part of the campaign (content sharing is enabled). I still see the same behavior as listed above -- I can't see any Barbarian Paths besides Berserker (and am creating a 10th level Barbarian). Not even the PHB ones. The content he has shared are:
Players Handbook
Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything
Volo's Guide to Monsters
Xanathar's Guide to Everything
Any ideas on what to do to resolve this? Looks like this bug has been around for several years now.

Are you sure you're creating the character inside the campaign. Just having one other character in it isn't enough - the character you are making must be in the campaign.
If you are - then they should turn content sharing off and on again to refresh the sharing table - and whoever owns the content should check their entitlements in the marketplace: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/marketplace.
Emmber - thanks for the guidance. I created a new character from scratch in the campaign as you suggested and it worked like a champ. I appreciate the assistance!!

Hello mkelandis! Have you purchased another Barbarian subclass, or a book that contains a Barbarian subclass from our Marketplace?
The Berserker subclass is the option available as a part of Wizards of the Coast's free Basic Rules/SRD.

I thought that I was purchasing the Player's Handbook
From my order history:
