I have characters under a campaign that aren't using homebrew but even though I have it switched off under these characters it is still appearing?
I'm not sure if this is my error or something else but I can't peg what's causing the problem. It wasn't doing this a for months but all of a sudden I can't get the homebrew to go away now.
I’ve gotten the same problem but some of the homebrew spells are appearing on the wrong class lists as well. Also the newer unearthed arcana spells keep showing up even when UA is off.
I made a homebrew version of Arcane Weapon for private use using Holy Weapon as a Template. I set it to only appear on the Artificer spell list, but it seems to still be available for Cleric characters in campaigns I am in as well. I suppose that’s because of the template spell. Anything that can be done is appreciated.
It’s a Life Domain Cleric, I never enabled Homebrew content for this character, but 4 homebrew spells are appearing on the list of spells known. Three of them I would expect to see if homebrew had been enabled, and the fourth is the spell I mentioned before, Arcane Weapon.* The only thing I can think of is that, if I remember correct, they were all templated from existing spells that do appear on other clerics’ lists.
I have homebrew turned off and homebrew spells have been in the spell list when trying to make the last three characters no matter what I do to the toggle. Not even in campaign characters just messing with some concepts in collections.
I've noticed this too. No matter what character or source used, even with homebrew turned off, some drop-down options will sometimes include homebrew and UA even when these are toggled off. I made a thread here but never got official feedback.

Me too. I think it seems to happen with spells that were templated off of other spells.
the ones made from scratch don’t seem to have the same issue.

We have different experiences there, then. Most of my homebrew aren't from templates but it still brings them up.

I only noticed on spells so far. I recreated the Arcane Weapon spell for the artificer, and it shows when Homebrew is disabled.
That was exactly how I noticed it too. Only, I noticed it on a Cleric. 😯🤔 It’s an Artificers only spell. I think it’s because I used Holy Weapon as the template. The glitch seems to affect only prepared casters.
This just started but my players are seeing custom spells that clearly show they are for one subclass in entirely different classes spell list. I can show images if needed but I created a spell for a Great Old One Warlock and it's been fine for months and now it's showing up as available on my other player(Druid's) spell list. I double-checked and its setup correctly on my end.

Ah, also super helpful to see that the issue has been present for a couple weeks! This disproves my first suspicion. TY!! I am going to merge these threads together.

One similarity I noticed between some reports was that it was affecting classes that prepare spells.
When I disable homebrew via the Home tab of the Character Builder, I still get my own homebrewed content showing up. Is this a new feature or a bug?
Watch your back, conserve your ammo,
and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon!
Specifically spells? It’s a bug that has popped up since the new Character Sheet framework was rolled out.

Hello, thank you for your report.
Could you please provide a link to the homebrew spell (does not need to be published) and to the Druid character?
If you prefer, you can send them to me in PM.
Thank you!
I am having the exact same problem with this spell:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/461400-arcane-weapon
applying to characters that are not Artificers and so should not have access to it such as this character:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/IamSposta/characters/28121846.
In addition, other homebrew spells are appearing as “known” for this character even though Homebrew Content is not enabled for that character. Here are the additional spells:

https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/279650-gaze-of-judgement
https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/324752-stunning-brilliance
I believe that the only thing those four spells might have in common is that they were all created from templates as opposed to scratch built.

That is very helpful, thank you Sposta!
Happy to help!
Although I will point out that I first raised this issue in the Bugs & Support thread back on May 15th and it got no response. 🤷♂️ At least it’s being looked into now. You da best Mellie!
