Current: Under the Unarmed Strike description, "Instead of using a weapon to make a melee weapon attack, you can use an unarmed strike: a punch, kick, head-butt, or similar forceful blow (none of which count as weapons). On a hit, an unarmed strike deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1 + your Strength modifier. You are proficient with your unarmed strikes."
Expected: "On a hit, an unarmed strike deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier. You are proficient with your unarmed strikes."
This is because only monks can use dexterity for unarmed strikes, as part of their martial arts feature. All other classes can only use strength. This correct per the basic rules.
Can you provide a link to your character sheet so we can see it? I just made a character that is rouge 3 monk 1 with a +3 str and a +4 dex and the dex is the modifier that it used for my unarmed strike.
Is there any chance that your str is higher or equal to your dex?
Also with 1 level in monk it should say that you have 1d4 for your damage. Perhaps you forgot to confirm the level in monk?
The description of Unarmed Strike will always say that it is 1 plus strenght, because that is the basic rule. It is then, overridden by your monk Martial Arts.
I know what it is that you want. When you left click the Unarmed Strikes in your Action tab, it shows Basic Rules definition. But as a monk you want it to show your martial arts class feature description for unarmed strikes under the original description as a supplementary addendum.
Technically it's not a bug so that would have to go under a different forum. =/

My PC is a multiclass rogue 3 monk 1, so is what's happening that the rogue part gets the strength descriptor for unarmed strike?

The modifiers in the Actions/Attack work as intended, it's the description that I don't think is correct.
