I recently created a special artifact that grants a +3 to all spell attacks and +3 to hit, among some other things. One of the players in my campaigns has it and is attuned to it, but it does not seem to update the 'To hit' section on his character sheet - am I doing something wrong here?
There is no “+N to hit.” You cannot add a bonus only to “attack rolls” for a weapon. You can either ad a bonus to all melee attacks with all weapons, or you can add a “Magic Bonus” which will add a bonus to both Attack and Damage rolls made with that weapon. If it is supposed to have a specific +3 bonus to Attack rolls, that will have to be added manually directly to the character sheet.
I am referring to the Spell Attack - I've given it the Bonus - Spell Attack modifier and set it as 3, but it doesn't seem to update the spell attack bonus of the character that's attuned to it.
Yes, I've done that too; even after saving the item and creating various versions of it with the Bonus - Spell Attack modifier set to 3, it does not update the attuned character's spell attack.
I'm also not sure if it's required to set primary stat setting. Ideally, it should apply to a spell attack using any spellcasting stat. I've tried it both with and without WIS (for a cleric), but it doesn't seem to matter.
Following in case a solution is found. Also having this issue. The bonus for the homebrew item is working for AC and Spell Save DC, but does not seem to be applying to Spell Attacks.
Following as well. I have a sorcerer spell that I've added to a character through a feat. But the ranged spell attack isn't pulling the "to hit" modifier correctly.

Strange. Try creating your item using a wand of the war mage, +1 and then changing its item type and adding the additional Modifiers to it and see if that works.

What exactly do you mean? When you added the spell to the feat, did you designate a spellcasting ability for the spell?

Thanks!
Is it the Spell Attack or the Weapon Attack?

After you add or change a modifier, you must re-save the entire homebrew using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under “Basic Information.”

I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to create a shield of +1 spell attack, but it doesn't seem to be updating the bonus.
Modifer - Bonus
Modifier subtype - Melee/Ranged Spell Attacks (one modifier each)
Fixed value - 1
