New user here - this site is pretty amazing. But then I am an old school gamer coming back in after a 40 yr hiatus! Anyhoo - so when I want to create a new version of a home-brew monster - will I be able to simply edit it - or does it erase all the previous entires and I have to re-enter it all again, plus make the changes/edits/omissions, etc? Thanks in advance!
If you use the “use an existing mister as a template” option, all the original info will populate the form and you can edit. Only change it makes initially is to add “Copy of” in front of the name.
Do you mean the “create new version” when you have already published your homebrew? In that case, it will create the new version in your collection with absolutely everything intact (at least for monsters) and then you can change whatever you want and when you publish the new version it will overwrite the old version.
PS- As a personal tip, hold off on publishing your homebrews. If you don’t publish then you don’t need this step and could just edit the original to suite your needs. Remember, you don’t need to publish your homebrews at all in order to use them.
