1) Why isn't there a "store" for characters. Say PC wants to buy new armor, they should be able to go to the store, select the new equipment and have the gold needed automatically deducted from their purse. Or at least show the cost of items when you pull it in under Add Items.
2) Still need to be able to add additional languages and found spells "at will". PCs that can copy rituals should have an easy way to add them to their spell book.
3) Maps, need mapping tool and a way for DMs to use maps through the site for adventures (with reveal functions)
4) I know a new character sheet is in the works, but you need to move racial/class perks closer to the top. I still have to make index cards for all my characters so I can see useful information without having to scroll around and open trees.
5) How about an option for factions? There are known factions, users should be able to select the existing ones and have an "other" option in case there is a homebrew. Alignment should be easier to update as well.
Do you plan on adding an ability to create homebrew subclasses? Also, what is your opinion on using the homebrew features to transcribe content from the books, so long as it isn't made public?

I can answer that for you here! :)
Homebrew subclasses are coming to D&D Beyond. I don't have a timeframe, but it shouldn't be long.
You may add any private homebrew you like, including sharing that homebrew within a campaign.
Another question: Re DDB Android app. I know this is still alpha, and lots of work is being done, so this is more out of curiosity than critique or request for change. One of the current "bugs" with the android version is that every time you open the app it has to download a .json file. This means (afaik?) that you would need to be online to get the file and use the app, which is ultimately meant to be used offline.
Any idea yet why it is doing this? :-)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
You don't OWN your books on DDB: WotC can change them any time. What do you think will happen when OneD&D comes out?
Any information or timeline for dice roller within DDB or is this also part of the Character Sheet Revamp. I would like to be able to click on numbers next to skills and ability to roll the associated dice.
To add my vote, I am also really excited to hear an update on the character sheet revamp/export functions, as well as a (we know these are all tentative!/dangers of predictions for development timelines and such) timeline for encounter building/initiative tracking. Thanks for your time and Happy New Year! (Can you still say that mid January?!)
How is the development for the character builder revamp going? Do we have maybe a % complete?
Has D&D Beyond found a sweet spot for automation? If so where is that line being drawn? Such as when are we able to click on something to have it auto update your character or not? Such as having Aid cast on you? It would be amazing if we could choose those spells (even better if we could see what spells other people in the party have so when they cast it we can click "apply" to our sheet) Then there could be a drop down of all active buffs that we could then easily click off when it's time.
What is the next major update the team will be working on?
What is the team most excited about this year?
A month or two ago it was mentioned that you were looking to expand the team, did that happen? What does the new team member bring to the table?

Hi,
Just noticed that the Forrest Gnome is missing from the main selection of Races.
Juts wondering if this was going to be added at a later date?
