It would be nice to have an option to toggle sorting for Skills. My personal preference is to sort Skills by their associated Ability Modifier, rather than by alphabetical order. I am likely in the minority for this preference, but I'd like to hear what other people think about this idea.
I too would like this option, though it is low priority for me. It would be a nice addition to have though as I used to do this with my own custom made paper character sheets as it was easier for new people to ascertain where their numbers were coming from.

That is exactly how I was introduced, and I've been using sheets organized that way ever since, so it throws me a bit to use one alphabetically sorted. But you're right, its not a big priority, more a quality of life change that would be nice.
Completely agree; as a quality of life improvement, it would definitely be very nice to see!

This could easily be grouped with the suggestion to use the 5.5e PHB character sheets. There were at least 3 different officially posted character sheets for 5e, one of which has them grouped by ability score, and multiple options set up that you select from when exporting would grant both requests. It would be as simple as designating the places each field populates into for each sheet once, same as they did with the first one.
I personally prefer alphabetical but can see why others would prefer grouped by ability. It would be nice if there was a way to toggle which way you want it.

As someone who would use the official character sheet where skills are grouped by ability, I think this is a great suggestion!

I'd hope it would be a really simple change. Making any table sorted via making the column title into the sort function.
Also providing the option to search via Highest to Lowest stats, and Proficiency Bonus too.
This is an overwhelming quality of life thing I can't believe they don't have this as the default anywhere!
I'm hoping with the new ground-up Character Sheet redesign that is going on behind the scenes, this will be an optional feature that gets added.

As long as it were a character by character toggle, I'd be all for this.
