Up until about a year ago, WotC licensed all of the translations to 3rd party companies for physical books. WotC did not do them in-house. So there were very likely licensing issue with respect to translated copies on D&D Beyond. For example WotC did not own the copyright to the Spanish edition of 5e. Some other company did.
So it was only last year when this would have even started to be a possibility.
I am not expecting any significant site upgrades until D&D One launches in 2024, as that will be a huge resource sink. But now that WotC owns DDB, this should be legally possible.
D&D beyond is now own by Wizards of the Coast, can we have translations now?
Older posts saying licenses will cost more to dnd beyond... but now dont have this problem!
I dont buy anything from D&D beyond because there's no translation (and i know others people dont buy because of this too)

However, last summer WotC bought back the rights for some languages: https://dnd.wizards.com/news/expanding-dnd

Nice to see they bought back the rights for some languages(hope to see in my language, Brazilian-Portuguese)
I know something will probably only happen in 2024 with "One DND", but i think it is important to show that we are interested in it.
Thanks for the response!
