Hello, I was wondering if there was a way I could turn the books I have bought in person into digital copies onto this app as if I had purchased them in app
It is not possible. Physical and digital copies are completely separate and distinct products. Owning a product in one format does not entitle the customer to a product in another format. If you want to have both, you will have to purchase both separately. There is a physical-digital bundle going on for Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, but bundles like that will be priced higher accordingly, and you should factor in the shipping price as it may be cheaper to purchase them separately rather than in a bundle.
With enough patience and a whole bunch of trial and error, you could homebrew most anything official that you have a physical copy of. I believe the only thing you can't homebrew would be any artificer subclass as that is the only class not available for free. Some of the more complicated things might not be possible too, but then there's some things that homebrew is better than the official versions (albeit a little more complicated but still adds better functionality such as the 3 newer sorcerer subclasses that allow for spell swapping).
Have the Physical Books? Confused as to why you're not allowed to redeem them for free on D&D Beyond? Questions answered here at the Hardcover Books, D&D Beyond and You FAQ
