First off, great job on this! I think these tools will be very useful and easy to use.
One small thing I would like to see is the addition of the basic rules as a filter option under sources.
Thanks!
Systems Reference Document is the basic rules, but for the moment, only the SRD creatures are loaded, so the source filter will probably be more useful when monsters are added from other sources in the future. :).

Actually no... the SRD lists more monsters than are included in the basic rules pdf. For example, only two dragons are in the basic rules; adult red and young green, if I remember correctly. I know this is probably a fringe case, but I sometimes play in circumstances where only the basic rules are allowed, so this feature would be useful to me, at least.
I have seen a couple of threads wishing for clickable spells in the monster descriptions. Or pop up boxes with the spell info. The same for other relevant information that is needed to run the monster without searching in multiple places. Special abilities, magic items. This would be great, and it seems this mega-thread is the right place to ask for it.
Would be great if you could set up an encounter like have only Goblin, Hobgoblin, Ogre show up i know i can just open Tabs but on a Tablet i would rather have it on one screen . I know this is more of a Encounter Builder and something we might see later in phase 3 . I just think it would make the monster section more useful if you could view a more select group then 1 type or a CR range it not a big deal on pc but i think it helpful if you have slow loading on a mobile device.
It's been mentioned elsewhere, but I want to recommend using the same format for stat blocks as in the Monster Manual (perhaps you could have a toggle to allow folks to pick the format they prefer).
Seems pretty solid all in all! However I have found it frustrating that I am unable to search for generic terms in the monster list (e.g Drow search term doesn't bring up the Drow Elite warrior, Beholder or behemoth search terms brings up nothing, and spider doesn't bring up spider swarm or Nezznar, the black spider. I'd love to see the name search become a bit more versatile and powerful
Keep in mind that this is SRD content, so core rulebooks and supplements are not available at this time. They are definitely planned for the future though. For more information, go here.

For those that don't want to follow the link, the discussion is around having a monster picture that you can show to your party as a DM. It would be nice to have a page that is 80% picture and 20% text, where you can get a short description of the monster without stats (e.g. The Bugbear wields a morningstar and javelin and attacks with the Brute feature, allowing his melee weapon to deal one extra die of its damage when hit - included in the attack). As a DM, I could then add in extra text that would be saved only for my account or under a "homebrew" category and add something like "This is the same Bugbear that escaped the party in the Wave Echo Cave and is wearing an eye-patch to cover the eye he lost in his last encounter with you".
The main idea is to have a screen to show the party and let them get a good idea of what they are up against without showing all of the stats for the monster.
As a DM, sometimes I want to stress players with monsters that can work certain tactics, such as hit-and-run. Is there a way add Speed to the Advanced Filters?
I love it but there are a few things i think it could have:
1. the ability to pick and choose monsters and have their stats on one page so that dms don't have to have a million tabs open during an encounter.
2. the ability to maybe save encounters and have it automatically stack the xp and adjusted xp gained in that encounter.
3. a turn tracker that can keep track of health and status effects on different monsters (i don't know if a turn tracker will be coming with the campaign management phase of the beta, but it would be really cool to see one)
4. have it so that the page doesn't refresh every time you filter the monsters by type, and instead just let the user click all the different types of monsters at once and then click filter monsters, it would make filtering monsters easier.
All in all the monster compendium is brilliant, and using it in my campaigns so far has made combat to noticeably smoother.
One thing that would be helpful would be to open items and monsters in tabs or in comparison windows so that way you can quickly refer to multiple items or monsters, rather than having to manually open up each one as you need it.
Is there, or will there be, a way to create a list of monsters in an arbitrary order? I would like to be able to have a list of the monsters in an adventure by room/encounter area.
These monster cards are awesome! I really like that there are specific pages for each of the levels of dragons and such. But, I think it would be better if they were grouped naturally by Dragon, then color, then age. It will be better that way when a DM needs to compare aspects of a powerful creature with other similar creatures to choose the right amount of threat to a party in a campaign. Maybe sort on CR or level within each of the higher level details like color and finally dragon.

If you need help with homebrew, please post on the homebrew forums, where multiple staff and moderators can read your post and help you!
"We got this, no problem! I'll take the twenty on the left - you guys handle the one on the right!"🔊
Please add rule variants to the monsters that have them.
Example: Pseudodragon familiar from the monster manual.

I posted a reply in the morning after post but see that this is a more appropriate place for it:

Troglodyte isn't on the list.

Carrion Crawler CR 2 appears to be missing. Just can't seem to find it, so posting as a possible bug. Thank you.

It would be great to have the page selectors at the top of the page also instead of just at the bottom
