This is a formal request that Wizards of the Coast not remove access to any of Legacy Content already purchased by customers of D&D 5th edition. While this currently consists of Volo's Guide to Monsters and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, we are aware that big changes are being rolled out for OneD&D, implying that other books might soon become "Legacy Content" as well.
If WotC does decide to entirely remove Legacy Content from the D&D Beyond website, we request the ability to download PDF copies of any already purchased Legacy Content digital books at NO additional cost. This would be just and fair considering that customers such as ourselves are the people who help your content remain popular and that we have already purchased digital copies of said books.
The WotC company will have a lot of very angry customers if it starts to remove digital books entirely from D&D Beyond without providing alternative means of accessing already purchased Legacy Content.
I am uncertain if they will. However, in light of the OGL issues and the recent inclination of Hasbro/WotC to self-censor (inoffensive) content, it seems better to err on the side of "proactive" rather than "reactive." See also this Thread.

I’ve seen that thread. I see nothing to indicate they will remove that content rather than just place it behind the legacy lock.

Yes, I intend to keep it that way by petitioning them to not remove the already-purchased content.
