Playing a barbarian, I like to intimidate my enemies. But my DM often rules that I must intimidate on my strength instead of my charisma (but not always).
So, I added a custom skill STR (Intimidation) on my character sheet.
But when listed, my skills are listed like this:
... WIS Insight CHA Intimidation INT Investigation INT Medicine ... STR Intimidation
The skills should be listed like this:
... WIS Insight CHA Intimidation STR Intimidation INT Investigation INT Medicine ...
And if you want to differentiate, write a tiny "custom" next to a custom skill. But the whole list should just be sorted alphabetically.
Or better yet give us sorting options. So those who prefer the insane current way, can keep their untidy godless preferred way, and those that are normal 'n' nerdy more organised can sort alphabetically and those who are super nerds have the particular preference can sort by default ability.
And for the programmypeeps, maybe let us drag-drop into a custom sort list.

I've mentioned before that it would be a good idea to have Skills sorted by Ability e.g. Athletics, Acrobatics, Sleight of Hand, Stealth, Arcana...
It's easier for beginner players to see how their ability score impacts their skills at a glance. Having the option to sort skills in this way would be a nice quality of life addition.
