I have a suggestion that has to do with carry weight and distinguishing between what is carried and what is stored somewhere. Under the equipment tab, we have "Other", already, but it's only a text input field. Why not make it work like the Inventory tab, but any equipment in it, isn't considered to be on the person, but rather, stored somewhere. There'd need to be some sort of toggle but surely that could be as easy as implementing an on/off button on equipment?
this is a great idea. doesn't it all tie in with the idea of containers though? i.e. you could have one container called "backpack" and another called "Horse" and another called "Stronghold" (all customisable of course) and then you could add each piece of equipment to one or the other and then on that container have a tick box/toggle to determine whether the container is "carried".
In the saving throws, hit points, or Conditions section, there should be boxes for death saving throws failures and successes. (Or are they already somewhere I missed?)

When your HPs are set to 0, the tracking of death saves will appear.

Wow, ok, thanks! Guess I have yet to fall to 0 hit points with my arcane archer. lol (I mostly DM). The counters looks great. :D
Any chance you can make a popup saying "You're dead (Jim)" appear if you receive damage at 0 hit points equal to twice your maximum number of hit points? (instant death rule) PHB: "Massive damage can kill you instantly. When damage reduces you to 0 hit points and there is damage remaining, you die if the remaining damage equals or exceeds your hit point maximum."
Or simply state the rule somewhere in HP management when the death boxes appear...
Another idea (unrelated to the death saves). When DMG content is unlocked, would there be a possibility to make the DMG combat actions (chapter 9) available as an option? i.e. a toggle on/off button in the preferences for each option (Climb onto a bigger creature, Disarm, Overrun, Shove Aside, Tumble...). Toggling an action "on" would add the action to the list of combat actions under the ACTION and/or BONUS ACTION tabs.
Also, our group uses lingering injuries (DMG variant). A customizable lingering injuries box in the HP Management section would be a nice addition!
Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but I would love support for customizing existing (rulebook) ability snippets for not just myself but my players too on a per-campaign basis. I know thatd be pretty tough but it would allow group agreements on how abilities work.
At this point, for monks, you have your attacks in one section, and the ki points usage in another section, and you are usually using them together. Would it be possible to at least mirror the ki point CHECKBOXES in the attacks section somewhere ? Using this on a computer is hard, but trying to switch from one section to another with a tablet or phone is a real chore....mid combat...
I think AL compliance is on their to-do list but no idea how far down.
Well, it's not just for AL compliance. When I've run games in the past for systems that had too many splatbooks I've often restricted the number of books my players could use just to keep the number of books people had to drag around under control (and to reduce the amount of time we would waste looking things up).
I have a level 4 Battlemaster Fighter and took Martial Adept and it isn't being reflected on the sheet - Should have 5 Superiority Dice, but still have 4, and missing the two extra maneuvers.
What is actually happening is Martial Adept is being treated as its own self-contained "thing", which in all but the 1 case it is. However with the existence of preexisting Superiority and Maneuvers, it should append to them.
the ability to pass equipment between players in the campaign. it was a pain last night having to remove an item from one sheet then add it to another. a simple "give to player X" would be amazing!
This is a really fantastic idea! I would love to see party and player interactions like this. For instance, casting Aid as a Cleric would have a pop-up or side panel where you select which party members get the HP. It would make games run so much smoother for buff or healing spells. Conversely, a DM could send damage and effects for spells or attacks out to his players.
My one huge gripe right now with the new sheet is the side-bar on mobile. I like to have my Skills at the ready by keeping it in the side-bar, but any time I click something else like a spell or attack the skills are lost and I have to go back to Skills, throw it back into the side bar, and then return to wherever I was. I doubt this is a major concern, but it would be really awesome to have either a universal back button (which does exist within certain side-bar situations.), an option to lock the side bar, or something like favorite links at the top of the side bar for easier navigation.

this used to be in the actions section and disappeared with the latest update, i want it back as well
A way to put things inside a Bag of Holding, Portable Hole, Fantastic Haversack etc would be pretty nice. Right now people have to put the items in "notes" and track their weight by hand, which is not very convenient at all...

You can find the checkboxes for Ki in the 'Other' section now. We broke the various attack options that are available to use Ki out into the bonus actions section as appropriate, but the limited use tracking of the resource itself is technically not any kind of action (this 'Other').
In the near future, we will have a much better system in place to track class resources such as Ki. Thanks!

- There's no section on the PDF sheet for personal possessions. They're on the website version but they don't copy into the download.
- Some of the boxes don't auto-adjust the text or don't do it properly, meaning character details are getting left out. I've encountered it with the Faith, Skin, Backstory, Ideals, Traits, and Flaws boxes.
- Connecting the boxes for Features & Traits so that the text from one column, when editing in Adobe, will move to the next if you're adding something by hand, or paraphrasing something, would be much more helpful than the current cut-and-paste option.
- Some of my characters, that have extensive class features, get an extra page for those details that includes a box for extra equipment. Making this available to all characters as an optional page would be very useful.
- Instead of providing the spell source (e.g. wizard) on the spell page, this section might be more useful for listing the damage roll
- There also is no longer a section to include a holy image picture.
Overall, I like the extra detail that the new forms provide, but there are some old features that need to be restored.
I'd like to request that the character sheet is synced over the internet. So if my players change something on their sheets (like health or ability uses) it automatically updates in my browser as well. Having to refresh the page is tedious and also leads to me acting on stale data. Please and thank you!
P.S. I only used the new character sheets since I'm new to the game but already I find it much easier to use than the PDFs. Great job DnDBeyond team!
The D&D group I am in was hesitant to move to using D&D Beyond rather than the Fifth Edition Character Sheet android app, but with the new character sheet updates, they have all made the move to D&D Beyond and even bought tablets to use it on at the table. They love the new look.
Go "Team Tablet"! as opposed to Team Desktop :-) (yes, a twilight spoof)
Edit: I also want to add that the look of the old character sheet was a huge deterrent for them.

they've said a few times containers are coming soon. i would assume this includes magical containers.

I would just replace the "Notes" column on the exported sheet with what's in the "Effect" column on the digital sheet.
I very much like the new iteration of the tablet sheet revamp. Great job encorporating feedback guys! Cheers
