I would love to see the encounter builder to receive more love.
it would be nice if i could force my players into an encounter and have them select their attacks at the enemy they want to attack , causing the attack to automatically resolve. The players would of cause only see an indicator for health not the actual number.
Another nice feature would be for me (the DM) to be able to deal damage directly to my players. While that option does show up in the encounter, that feature does not seem to work.
I would also like to be able to homebrew base items. for instance i could use a shortsword or a longsword as the base weapon for a Katana, but i would like to be able to use the katana as the base item for magic weapons. i am using the katana only as an example. i feel like 5e is severely laking weapon diversity. (I enjoy playing 5e more than Pathfinder, but in terms of weapon diversity 5e is too simple in my opinion
This might be more of a issue for Wizards than for DndBeyond but I figured I would add it anyway. In Xanathar's guide it lists Major vs. Minor items. But there are items from adventures and later releases not listed in the Xanathar's tables. So it would be helpful to easily identify an item as Major or Minor. If one is attempting to follow the items by tier formula.
Please add the primordial dialects. Both turtles and kenku get one (aquan and auran) and REIDAN, a language that is only spoken by Reidra, a continent that is only mentioned twice in 5e and has no adventures based in or around it is in the list.

Might it be possible to have a Spell loadout option. For Clerics and Druids we get to choose what spells we want each day. It might be nice to pre-plan a loadout of "these are my combat planning spells" or "these are my social planning spells".
Alternatively a Favorite token/icon so I can track what ones I really DON'T want to remove when I am planning the day.
There are 2 ways to make custom attacks. Both have their pros and cons. Under "Manage Custom" in the actions tab is very versatile, but you can't use it for feats like sharpshooter.
For that you need to add a weapon and customize it with the plusses and minuses for sharpshooter. But that doesn't help for abilities like Dread Ambusher because you can't add a d8 to the damage like that.
I would like if D&D Beyond would add to the versatility of those 2 customizations, allowing plusses and minuses in manage custom actions, and adding a dice count option in customized weapons in your inventory. This would allow people to use either method for getting the result they need depending what they're used to.
I'd really like for them to add a means to apply dark gifts from. Van Richten's to our characters on the character sheet page, just a small thing but it would be a big help
1. Having encounters from official content be pre-generated and tagged on your campaign home pages would be amazing. They can be listed in the Appendix of each book and have hyperlinks that take you to the pre-built encounter and all you have to do is assign PCs to it.a
2. You can also make a campaign and tag your PCs to that campaign like you normally would, but also tag the official work you are currently running, assuming you own it, and now whenever you go to your Campaign you'll see a list of encounters that are already in that campaign along with your PCs already tagged ready to go.
3. You can create your own encounters and tag them to this campaign, adding them to the list of encounters associated with this campaign and showing up on the campaign home page.
4. Having the ability on the Campaign home page to generate a random encounters and add it to that list of encounters already on this page. Above or bellow the list of tagged encounters can be a generate random encounter button that gives you options such as terrain , time of day, type of monsters .... and uses the PCs tagged to that campaign to base the difficulty. The big thing here is is the campaign is tagged to an official work ... the generator will base its random encounters on the parameters set by the book making the campaign feel more immersive. (example: Curse of Strahd wouldn't generate an encounter with random sea creatures or the gith for no reason but instead focus on werewolves and vampires and such.

Please make the Artillerist Arcane Firearm class feature integrate with the Arcane Focus it's supposed to enhance, doesn't work now, I need to add the additional die manually all the time.
Please make it possible for a Kensei to pick a firearm as their ranged Kensei weapon. The DMG clearly states them as being Martial Ranged Weapons so there's no real reason as to why it's not possible to select them.
Could i ask for a request, the change backdrop could we just have a blank one please
When did containers get implemented? I've not noticed any way to store inventory items inside other items....

I usually just do the health in quarters.
Full Health
Scratched up (99-51)
Bloodied (50-26)
Hurting bad (<25)
As a min/max player will often figure out the number of hit points based on how far the bar goes down with each hit.
i meant an idication like what you suggested or even just over or under half health
on the Actions part of the sheet ,
a way to make the attack damage that have the Versatile damage, have the versatile be the default setting, so on top and in bold

I know it's been said before, but add my vote to it:
Please add Sidekicks. Survivors from Ravenloft would be nice too...
