REQUEST: Allow the creation and alteration of equipment beyond the simplistic filler of adding custom items. It should operate much like the interface/toolset used with magic items, monsters, characters, etc.
When it comes to DM's freedom to create any form of equipment, whether it be Mounts/Vehicles, Tools, Base weapons/armor, ore/gemstones, and essentially any non-magical item, they are barred from such creativity; Leaving creators to rely on the Magic item and Monster interfaces, cutting out a majority of the functionality that the sourcebook-granted equipment innately has. This causes parties to utilize outside note applications or good ol' pen & paper...resulting in excess bloat that DnDBeyond is intrinsically made to shortcut around.
REQUEST: Bring Paypal back as a payment option. Not that I'm buying ANYTHING until alacarte returns -- I don't want to put my credit/ debit card information into a website for security purposes. That's the whole point of Paypal, to add that extra protection!

I hadn't made a purchase since they pulled a la carte, I had no idea they also bumped PayPal. WTF
Seriously? I also walk into the new marketplace and instantly walk out as it's so horrible. This coming from someone who has purchased every single item in the shop before the redesign.. Didn't even know they removed paypal... what idiocy..
REQUEST: The reason for my post is regarding the Encounter Builder, all the core data, all the homebrew...we should be able to change the CR of a monster, and their stat block should automagicially change. Right now, I dont need a CR 15 zombie warewolf (Vecna EoR Deathwolf). I want it at CR5, or 8 or 20, or whatever. I pick the CR, the computers do the math and use the data to create the stat block.
It would be awesome to be able to roll for a random treasure in encounter builder (or directly from a monster sheet) using DM rules for treasure based on monster CR
The new marketplace is actually so garbage it's not even funny. Even ignoring a la carte not being a thing anymore, say I wanna buy a book for specific things like a subclass/ items/ spells since I'm on the player side of things. Before every single bit of content in the book was laid out in the purchase options or blurb down below. Telling me what the subclasses are for and what their themes are.
Now it's literally just like 3+ new subclasses which tells me absolutely nothing about what I'm actually buying. If I have to go to a completely different website or blogpost to even find out whats inside then you've already lost the average person. I used to buy stuff on the website, full books even when I only needed an option or two because I liked browsing them. Now that it'd be a gamble in every sense for me to do so... why would I? Not like the official WotC quality control has been a thing for a few years now anyway lmao.

Agreed. It looks like some books will show the ToC but not all. Even with the ToC it's not as straight forward as the old format.
Joining the chorus of "bring back a la carte purchases", because taking that away was honestly the worst idea ever and the way it was removed was even worse than that.
How about also finishing feature projects before you start new ones? Like the encounter builder in its eternal beta status with no apparent updates. Having a way to add helpful NPCs to the encounter builder would be great because right now you can only add them as "monsters"/enemies and it messes with the difficulty level which then messes with my neurodivergent mind. Because I know this encounter isn't actually deadly, but the stupid tool says it is and now I'm frustrated. Also being able to mark when the combat encounter is complete.
It'd also be nice to be able to organize my characters list (again a neurodivergent thing) preferably with folders or custom tags, but even if it's just as simple as being able to move the little icons around to be organized how my brain thinks they should be.
* Bring back a la carte purchases & the digital book bundles (of multiple digital books) * Fix the Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul (and perhaps other) Subclasses, so that it is possible with switch out spells, as the rules state, without having to homebrew * Make it so that things like rage and mage armor can be turned off and on in the character sheet, such that the numbers are adjusted automatically, when those are active * More Backdrops for character sheets and more options for acquiring them. It would be awesome if we could create and upload our own character sheet backgrounds! It would be even be kind of cool if we could at least buy backdrops in the market place, similar to the way we can buy digital dice. (Are Backdrops part of the set of bonuses for pre-ordering the set of 3 2024 books?
I'm sure this has been mentioned in one of the previous 155 pages and I know that the software devs are busy with maps alpha and the 3D VTT. But I would love if character builder, encounters, and maps felt like one cohesive app/webapp rather than 3 different pages using the dice roll log as IPC (inter-process communications). Other than that, thanks for all the great work you guys do on the site and tools!
Request: Allow us to create our own core classes. I'd like to take a few cracks at some current class revisions as well as working on future core classes of my own ideas.

Yeah same. I found out about a major change to MP via the Discord server. AGAIN.
I use to buy individual stuff all the time so i can build my character sheets here. I already own the physical books so i don't want to have to buy them twice for stuff that i wont use. I also feel like without a la carte this site doesn't offer much for me anymore. I can use another site for character sheets and just use my books to help build them. I have already cancelled my subscription and have plans to sell my stocks in hasbro because i really don't think i can continue to support a company who doesn't really listen to their consumers.
Yet another vote for the ala carte purchases but I'll give WotC the best reason: Money.
Many gamers are willing to spend money for their fun, but we're not MADE of money. What ala carte did was to allow players and DMs to buy what they wanted without getting a pile of stuff they might never use. I'm willing to bet all the cash in my pockets that sales of D&DB products have dropped since ala carte was removed.
Another point: If this trend continues, what you're going to have is DM's buying the stuff they want and sharing it with their players and the players will stop buying everything. That's ONE set of sales versus what might be 5-6. You do the math.
Ability to make non-magical items (general, regular items that are other types - food items, clothing items, tools, vehicles, animals, jewelry that isn't magic, containers like glass jar or ceramic jar or wooden jewelry box, etc.
Visual representation of your character - pick a head / face, height, weight, clothing, shoes, armor, etc.
Visual representation of the equipment you are wearing (on the above visual representation)
DM ability to create a shop and set prices for the players, or at least just make a shop and let them buy stuff using the PHB and DMG prices
Ability to let players see a custom item description even when they don't have it in their inventory (e.g. if you want them to be able to look up the abovementioned food items, clothing items, etc.)
Add booby-traps to maps in case the player walks over a space, something happens
Ability to create new ammo
Sort characters by deceased or other fields / methods
Random character generator with personality, quirks, eye color, hair color, name generator, etc.
Games DM can toggle on / off where players can gamble their money

You want our money? Bring this back. Simple as that!
