I've looked and didn't see this, but a option under conditions, nor elsewhere that could toggle a barbarian's rage and auto add the +2 damage would be nice. I've had 2 new players be barbarian and constantly had to remind or ask them if they added the extra rage damage.
This would be a great feature. In the meantime, I made a Homebrew Ring that adds the effect to the character sheet. Just equip or unequip it when you enter rage / lose rage: https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/954186-rage-lvl-01-08. Works pretty okay as a stop-gap measure.
That's the Level 1-8 version, there's other versions for the higher level rages.
Just want to chime in that a VTT would be AMAZING on my end. I'm doing some remote DMing, and having to import maps into Roll20, try to get the grid lines on the map to line up with the grid lines on Roll20, bring in all the monsters... Having the content I bought on Beyond ready to go as usable maps would be great. Even a basic version would be useful--I mostly just use the VTT to keep track of token placement, so line of sight stuff and integration with the combat tracker would be GREAT, but even without, a basic version would still be usable by me.
The other big thing that would be great is third party integration--I was hoping the Runeterra integration (and I think Out of the Box Encounters on Kickstarter mentioned Beyond integration?) is opening the door to this, but having Kobold Press stuff or things I bought off DMs Guild integrate with Beyond would be excellent.
Anyone know of plans to allow the hard copy books to used on this platform? Simple type in serial number would be easy. I'd love to see that, seems like I'm not the only one either. New feature idea?
Everyone keeps talking about adding more third party sources but I can't fathom why in the nine circles of hell I'd pay for books already purchased much less any third party stuff. Besides you can add most third party stuff via homebrew. Highlight, ctrl+c move to homebrew window ctrl+v.

This has been discussed repeatedly in these forums. Here are the highlights:
-Books don't have serial numbers, they have ISBN numbers, and ISBN numbers are the same for every copy of a given book
-Just as you can homebrew 3rd party options here, you can homebrew official options here, you just can't publish either.
-Wizards of the Coast (WOTC) and D&D Beyond (DDB) are separate companies. DDB pays licensing fees to WOTC for use of WOTC's content and has to abide by the terms of their contract with WOTC
-DDB staff deserve to be paid for the work they have done and continue to do producing this service
-Having content there is akin to having a second copy of the book AND Gale Force 9's spell cards, monster cards, and item cards. I doubt very much that you expect a game store to provide a second copy and/or Gale Force 9's card sets to you for free because you bought the book on Amazon (or at another game store). Why would you expect it here?

They have stated that ultimately the goal is to get Wizard's to provide a code with each book that can be redeemed on Beyond for the same content because they understand the having to pay twice situation. If you bought a hard copy of Mythic Odysseys of Theros then you should have received a coupon for 50% off the same book on Beyond. It's a "step in the right direction" but they are literally working on that as well.
That being said, I don't expect to see it for quite a while and, hopefully, we'll get to see it with the new books going forward and then some of the previous books. Ultimately, however, they are still a business with licensing fees. I think they plan on relying on subscription services as the ultimate end goal. I could be wrong though, since I don't work for Beyond. I'm just speculating based on what I remember from the release of Theros and what I think based on what I've seen. Let's face it, especially when they get the VTT up and running (again, not for a few years), a subscription will definitely be preferred. I know they won't just throw people who don't subscribe under the bus though. And there will always be people who will buy digital instead of physical and vice versa. So we'll see where they take us.

I actually purchase both physical and digital copies of the books. I don't always carry my books with me and, in the event that I'm caught without them, I have them on Beyond as well. I also have access to all of the options from each book I own on Beyond (for example I can put a Knave's Patch in my equipment because I have Waterdeep: Dragonheist).
When I talk about Beyond to new players I tell them that they should stick to one or the other unless they are weird like I am. I prefer the physical books, but the digital books get the updated errata without needing to repurchase the book for it.
As for a redeemable free copy of a book you purchase at your FLGS...as I stated in my previous comment, it is a goal the Beyond team has. If you bought Theros you could have received a coupon/redemption code for 50% which is "a step in the right direction."
As for adding 3rd party stuff: Some game stores don't carry certain third party stuff due to a lack of demand. Some third party stuff that's available online for sale doesn't get the publicity it deserves. It also gives Beyond an extra source of revenue which means, potentially, being able to get what you are wanting sooner.

This was true only for stores who are part of WPN (Wizards Play Network) and only for the first 20 books preordered at each store. From everything Adam Bradford (VP at Fandom of which DDB is a part, and public face of DDB) has said, they want to see more options like this, as you said. I have seen nothing to indicate that they would prefer a subscription for content model. And I, for one, would be very disappointed to see them move in that direction.
I would really love and appreciate a dark mode setting for when I am doing my late night goblin-like character building, for characters I won't play for months. Thanks for reading :)
I'm really curious how the WPN Theros discount promotion ended up for them. I participated, and to me this seems like absolutely the right direction. The physical book and the digital compendium are two different products, but I'm likely going to buy both so I very much appreciated the discount code.
My $0.02 is that both companies (DnDBeyond/Curse and WotC) are both really well run, and I am glad to support both with my business. The best of both worlds would be if either the Theros promotion was going to happen more broadly in the future, or if WotC could just acquire DnDBeyond as a company, so they can package retail copies of the source books that come with a digital download code.

putting in codes into the physical books will mean shrinkwrapping every single book ever, potentially destroy the secondary market, etc etc. There's a post made by Dave, I think, where he goes over all of the logistical problems that will prevent WotC and DDB from doing "buy physically and get digital free," even if *IF* WotC were to acquire Beyond

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"

If there are tear-away perforated maps in some of the books, I'm confident that they could have a tear away, perforated envelope with a code in it. That, or even a scratch off code somewhere that is printed. I don't think its physically something that is insurmountable. The record industry has solved this problem (albeit yes some records are shrink-wrapped but not all), so I'm confident that WotC could solve that issue.
To me, the biggest issue is just revenue shares. Without being owned by the same company, they would have a hard time sorting out the percentage of who gets what part of the sale. That's why I liked the Theros promotion. Each company got their portion, and hopefully WotC somehow subsidized DnDBeyond's costs for the discount.
When clicking the attack action on a character that has the Great Weapon Fighting fighting style (which allows a reroll on a 1 or 2), assume a reroll on any 1 or 2 and calculate the damage accordingly automatically (preferably showing which dice were rerolled).
Any works on being able to restrict content allowed for characters in a campaign? I'm not talking about what content is *shared* (since they may own it themselves, or get it shared from elsewhere...), I'm talking about restricting what sourcebooks may be used to create a character in a specific campaign. I've run a basic campaign with new players - PHB only - and am currently running a Wildemount campaign (where some of the Sword Coast stuff just doesn't make sense) etc etc.
I know this has been brought up before, but I've only seen "it's coming" for a few years now. This seems like such a basic piece of how the game is played, I can't imagine ddb would put out an actual VTT without being able to restrict source content... right?
Edit: I'd be super pleased to find out that it's already there and I'm just missing it.
Not sure if this has been suggested yet, but it would be nice to be able to customize the saving throws field. Mostly the example here is if someone is using homebrew items (such as from the Griffon's Saddlebag) that have not been implemented in DnD Beyond, there's no easy way to get the sheet to register things like you're now wearing an earring that gives you, say, resistance to being charmed or immunity to magical sleep. It's just not an option you can input anywhere, and there isn't always a magic item you can reskin in your inventory to emulate the same effect.

You can always homebrew the item. An earring that provides resistance to something is rather easy to create. And there is no “resistance to being charmed” in D&D, what it is instead is advantage on the saving throw which is also easy to create in the homebrewer. You can use these modifiers to create any item you like with Resistance or Advantage on any save you want. For an earing start with a Wondrous Item and add the “jewelry” tag to it.

The simpler solution would be to do what the bits-and-mortar (https://www.bits-and-mortar.com/) scheme does for shops which provide a code for downloading a PDF. A similar scheme could allow the code to be used on DDB instead of drivethrurpg.

I don’t think the bits and mortar solution works here, for several reasons:
-it wouldn’t apply to all purchases, only to those brick and mortar stores who participated; so those who purchase on Amazon or at Target or at an FLGS that doesn’t participate wouldn’t get a code
-with bits and mortar, the company that is providing the physical book to the store and the pdf to the company is the same. That’s not true here. WOTC and DDB are separate companies
-the cost of providing a pdf for a work already printed is far less than the cost of taking the files WOTC provides to DDB and turning those files into the database and tools available here, so prices of books with codes would still have to go up.
Still waiting on some QoL buffs to Campaign Pages. There is very minimal fashions in which we can edit it or make use of it outside of simply having the players in. I am very thankful for the public and private notes but apart from that there is very little. No player discussion thread, no party loot bag, no comment section, no party notes thread, no session timetable, no DM tooling or disclaimers, no ability to lockout certain banned elements of the campaign (eg specific spells that everyone has agreed are not viable for the setting).
Given the expansive nature of the game and the good manipulation people have over character sheets I believe its high team we see some benefits come through to campaigns that actually allow us to meddle with it and make worth something apart from just acting as a front page, a front page with the bare minimum mind you.
