FYI: In future, you will be easily able to identify when I actually go off on someone by the excessive use of what Mr. Spock would refer to as “colorful metaphors.”
Perhaps this is already in the works, but I would really like to request individual purchase options for the new Optional Class Features. Pretty much every character feature in all of the sourcebooks - feats, spells, subclasses, backgrounds - are available for individual purchase. In that regard, it's unsettling that even if you only want one or two OCFs, you must also purchase everything else that you don't want or need from the book. It doesn't seem at all in line with the ethos behind the majority of content available for purchase.
I understand that it was a lot of work to get done, but it's just not worth $30 for 2 fighter class features to an end-user like me. Sure, I can write them down on a piece of paper and just remember them, but I'd prefer the option to give you money and have it all nice and clean on my DDB character sheet!
I agree with RobertWack. That purchase option is desperately needed. As I mentioned in another thread, there must be way too many users like me and RobertWack that buy only the components they need, especially if you already have the book in physical or e-book format. This really needs to go on the urgent pile for the development queue.
So a way to only have options from your PHB+1 and not have to shift through all the options you unlocked in character building would be awesome. I am pretty new so if this is already an option please let me know.
With the new optional settings for custom origin of racial feats, I think it would be nice to have alternate choices to other racial traits that are simple to replace, without having to go the full 'homebrew race' route. By simple, I mean damage/condition resistances and immunities, things like swapping tieflings' racial Hellish Rebuke from fire to cold damage; or elven advantage on charm effects to advantage on stun effects etc. Not talking about Darkvision, Lucky, and the likes, cause they don't seem to have simple substitutions, but damage resistance based on an ancestor (or mixed ancestry) should be simple enough to implement. Dragonborns already have that option by default!
Also, an option to simply opt out of certain racial traits without replacing them with anything at all could be nice too, to balance out the more OP choices (cough, yuan-ti, cough), or drift from the aggressive traits from stereotypically violent races. I know there's option to just... not use them, but they clutter character sheet.
This might seem like a pendantic point, but it would be very helpful if the site designers could put HTML anchors/links throughout D&D Beyond so you could link to specific sections in the Sage Advice Compendium, or to paragraphs/subsections within sections in other sources. With these links, the citation of certain pieces of text would be straightforward. Citation is pretty key to D&D rules interpretation and it would help in discussions. If you had to prioritize, do it first for the PHB and the DM's guide, followed by the Sage Advice, followed by Xanathar's and Tasha's.

I really wish that when you open something in a sidebar in the character sheet -- be it a spell, an extra, equipment, etc... -- that it will have a link to its details page or to the section of the compendium where it is.
Is there any plan to have a Rage/Wild Shape/etc toggle? That way the character sheet will automatically reflect the effects of that change? (like adding changes to AC, rolls, etc) Or if this is already a thing, could someone tell me how to utilize it?
Wild Shape is mostly covered by the extras tab -- you can tell it you're selecting for wild shape, and it'll use the correct mix of stats from you and the creature, but you might need to double check the proficiencies and stuff, so it still might require tweaking, some of which you can do by editing within the extras tab, some of which might require homebrewing a creature with the stats you want.
For Rage, Bladesinging, and spells like Haste, where the effects are temporary, what most people do is create a magic item that has all the buffs built into it, and equip the item when the effects are in place.
It would be helpful to have some type of integration of the origin ideas offered in Xanathar's Guide and other sourcebooks in the character creation background & notes section. Offering players some inspiration around what animals a druid has seen for wild shape, how a character became a rogue, or how the fighter's family's doing when the game starts would be helpful while they are looking at the character creation tool.

and then forget to unequip it when its gone... if there is one thing i learned as a DM its that people are forgetting a ton of stuff. to me the magic item thing is just another hoop to go thru that can be forgotten. this is why i don't use chaacter sheets to remember what is on and off on a character, but my own notepad. this way i can just take a peek at notes and see for myself if anything is wrong somewhere. and beleive me, players are wrong much often. they just forget to add or remove things.

Some of those things and others are planned as part of the general features system being worked on.
I'm sure this has been requested, but I really would love to see a folders system added to "My Characters." I'm sure people that create more characters than myself would appreciate it even more than me.
I think Salamanders should be listed as playable races.
Beyond doesn't control what is official content, they aren't Wizards of the Coast.

didnt have to go after me like that either over a misunderstanding. But it's fine.
Who went after you?!? I made a joke using a common figure of speech.

Its not always seen as a harmless figure of speech though.
Mea culpa.

PS- It’s such a common expression that it actually appears in the Merriam-Webster dictionary.
It was not mentioned as any kind of attack whatsoever, just a colloquial idiom.

Love the site otherwise, thanks.
You mean, like this: If you use Great Weapon Fighting with a feature like Divine Smite or a spell like hex, do you get to reroll any 1 or 2 you roll for the extra damage? right?

Why the hell is this not already a thing? Especially during Covid. God damn is it blinding and too much all the whiteness.
