I customize the items that I'm putting in my bag of holding by adding the notation "In BoH" and then reducing the weight to "0". Then edit the bag of holding notes to show how much space your using by adding the weight of the items you've added.
Good idea. How do you handle decimal weights now that the weight and value overrides are bugged and only support whole integers?
“0” is a whole integer. The rest they list as “notes” and you can use decimals in txt fields.
Total the weight of all the items in the bag and then round up to the nearest whole number. I haven't run it in game yet. Just tooled around a bit. As DM you would want to keep a separate list with the actual weights. I think this would more accurately reflect the surprise element of accidentally putting too much in the bag and will make PC's occasionally want to turn out their bag to make sure of how much they're carrying if they're not keeping an accurate account.
I'd love a bundle that let's you buy monsters and/or magic items from adventure books without having to buy the adventure or buy each item individually. It drives me nuts going into encounter builder and a huge portion of the monsters are unavailable to me, but there is no way to buy those monsters that is both cost and time effective. Not gonna buy all the monsters at $2 a pop, but I'd love a way to access them all without getting a bunch of adventure content I'm not going to use.

You already can. Take a look at Rime of the Frost Maiden's page, for example. At the top of each category (Magic Items, Monsters) there is a price. For example, the Magic Items bundle is 5.99 and gets you all the magic items listed there for individual purchase. They have changed the formatting of these pages around a bit, and it's not as evident now as is should be what those prices mean.

The ability to customize bundles of monsters, spells, or items would be great. For example, selecting 20 monsters from a variety of books in a single custom-bundled purchase might cost 10% less than buying those 20 monsters separately at different times. That would be helpful for DM's creating custom encounters which draw on creatures from different sources. I don't know if that's feasible, but it would be a great feature.
Now I want a filter for Tashas stuff since I'm not sure if I want to own it yet. I tried making a Battle Master Fighter and all these extra manuveurs were showing up. Petty gripe but I'm selective about what I want to use while generating characters is all.
Allow the players to share the 99 slots that are within the campaigns and the characters that were created should remain within the campaign. The other players that I DM for shouldn't have to worry about anything especially when I have shed a few hundred dollars on all of the sourcebooks. This should be more than sufficient for my players to benefits from this OR just make another tier of the subscription that is maybe a dollar or two more a month then I'll be happy to pay for it.
are there ways to stop duplicate spells from showing up during character creation? Melf's Acid Arrow is added along with Acid Arrow when creating a Swamp Druid. I think it does it with Tasha's Hideous Laughter as well.
I would love to see a cross over between DDB and Fantasy Grounds - similar to the Roll20 app that links DDB to FG for ease of use. Also the Critical Role characters available in Fantasy Grounds
I was talking more along the lines of the larger bundles, where you get the content from all books, and can purchase from future books at a discount. I'd be all in on that.
Having a mount inventory and equipment manager. My characters are always listed as overencumbered and you can't readily tell what your mount is carrying not to mention having to customize stats to account for equipment bonuses on said mounts.
Now that the Tasha's Cauldron of Everything is out with more explanations and specific options for them, can DM's and/or players have a way to keep track of their sidekick's character sheet?
How to do this: When creating a new character as normal, the sidekick is available among the classes. Then when you select the subclass for it, the options available are expert, spellcaster, or warrior.
Another (more complicated) way to do this: Put the option under the character creation menu. Below where it has the "character creation methods" (i.e. standard, quick build, and randomize), you can add a section for sidekicks with a "sidekick creation methods" selection below it also displaying the standard, quick build, and randomize options. Instead of having the 14 (including blood hunter and artificer) classes available to them, their class selection would consist of expert, spellcaster, and warrior.
P.S. Don't forget to make sure they are able to be added to a campaign in dndbeyond so that the DM can have easy access to the character's stats as well.
I'm not sure if this has been requested before, but I think it would be amazing to have the ability, to pin your most used characters to the top of the page.
I have a few player characters, that by now are drowning in a sea of NPC's, and I'd honestly love any kind of way to make some order in it!
Perhaps this is already in the works, but I would really like to request individual purchase options for the new Optional Class Features. Pretty much every character feature in all of the sourcebooks - feats, spells, subclasses, backgrounds - are available for individual purchase. In that regard, it's unsettling that even if you only want one or two OCFs, you must also purchase everything else that you don't want or need from the book. It doesn't seem at all in line with the ethos behind the majority of content available for purchase.
I understand that it was a lot of work to get done, but it's just not worth $30 for 2 fighter class features to an end-user like me. Sure, I can write them down on a piece of paper and just remember them, but I'd prefer the option to give you money and have it all nice and clean on my DDB character sheet!
The Matt Mercer book has it so if you just want the Echo Knight you'll cough up the 1.99 for it. As an example. I bought the Monster Race Character Classes from Volos only, and then I eventually bought the rest of the book for 20 bucks.
They are asking that “Optional Class Features” be added as an individual purchase option to Tasha’s Cauldron. Like you purchased the Echo Knight for $2, we want to be able to purchase just that chunk of that book separately too. [REDACTED]

please add a dark mode so the actual background turns dark and we dont have to stare at white backgrounds in the dnd app or desktop

do you mean the additional purchase options in the marketplace?
