I don't know if this topic has been addressed yet so, please excuse me if I am repeating this, but I am interested in starting to use the character sheets for monsters so I can have an interactive sheet (similar to creating a player). I believe the interactive character sheet is one of the best features on the site as a player. For a DM it would be great if I was able to transfer a monster's sheet into a character sheet. Currently, this is why I am hesitant on purchasing any of the books that are predominantly monsters. Yes, it's nice to read about the monster, but I prefer to use monster sheets that are interactive (more accessible to mark down HP during a battle and spell used).
Also, you can consider adding an initiative tracker. Currently, I use the initiative tracker for D&D for android (I listed the name as a reference point and not a promotion of another product).
In Chrome there are the Beyond Help and D&D Interaction add-ons that provide time interactivity. The only thing I'm missing is the initiative tracker. But try them until the features are natively supported.
But if you start a campaign and as a DM want to bring in an existing character as your “npc party member” you can’t do that. You are forced to recreate them specifically for the campaign which feels broken to me.
It seems like you have to create a character specific to a campaign. For those of us who make characters in our free time and now want to "move/add" an existing character to a campaign it does not look like there is any way to do so.
Please please add this feature as it is very limiting for someone who likes to make characters in their free time!
The ability to create characters is not a Campaign only function - anyone can create a character using the character builder. You can also add a pre-made character to a campaign when using the join URL - this can be used multiple times if you had more than one character you wish to join to a campaign.

Thank you for your response! I will try the add-ons that you recommended. Also, when looking at your recommendations, I came across 'D&D Toolbox,' that might work as an initiative tracker.

I've been experimenting with Homebrew as of late, seeing how the difetent modifiers work.
One in particular, doesn't work with feats: the ones that modify the carrying capacity of creatures.
In this particular example, I tried to recreate the ability of Bugbears: the strong build. Unfortunately, it doesnt appear to actually DO anything once the feat is chosen at character creation, regardless of the size modifier. By which I mean, your carrying capacity is not altered in the equipment section.
Second is the POOR choice in the mobile format for homebrew. The buttons that say add modifier or add option simply do NOT appear, forcing me to use Desktop View in my phone. This is quite annoying, as the choice bars keep zooming in automatically the screen in this mode, making scrolling down the list a nightmare...
Finally, and this one is just a personal complaint rather than a flaw: the inability to alter a creatures weight with variants. This mostly came to play when I made a Wight undead based on skelletons as race. I tried to make differently sized variants in Robust and Perite Wights. Unfortunately, I couldnt and had to make them separate races altogether instead of variants...

I feel you are posting this in the wrong thread friend this is the campaign managment feedback thread. This is more something that should be put in its own one.

Arg, sorry. Read feedback and skimmed a couple pages of the thread to see the theme, then wrote down what I found. Thats what i get for opening multiple tabs i guess. Lol

I see. I tried that, okay wow that does work but hopefully the developers realize, that is NOT intuitive to require the DM/creator of the campaign to jump through that hoop. They should see their list of existing characters and have the option to add them without having to click the link, while viewing a campaign.
Small request. On the Campaign page where the players are listed. Maybe add a "Campaign History" log. Specifically showing the list of characters that have come and gone during the campaign (and timestamped).
Thanks,
Envaris

I'd like to build on this: it would be nice to have XP awarded be tracked, some sort of "attendance" tracking as well, maybe?
I want to be able to put characters I have created into a campaign I have created. Seems simple. Is that a thing? I've looked EVERYWHERE.
You can use the very same link you give your players to upload your characters.
May I suggest on the Campaign page to change the text from:
Send players this invite link to have them join your campaign.
To:
Players and Dungeon Master can use this invite link to have one or more characters join the campaign.
If you do I think you could eliminate 95% of support tickets created by this issue. The reason this is an issue is because it's counter intuitive. It's like when someone hosts a formal party. You don't think to send an invitation to yourself :P.
Thanks,
Envaris

I think that would be a good intern fix, in that it should be super easy for them to change that text. Long term the better fix would be to display to the GM/Campaign creator a list of characters 'as if they already clicked on that link'.
Don't know whether someone has suggested this already, but there ought to be an item/treasure pool for the entire party, for loot that the players haven't divided up yet. Our PCs often collect loot in a "party bank" and divide it up during downtime rather than at the moment when they find it.
yes, there is missing handout sections for the GM to have ready with items and can be seen when the GM wishes to the party. The items that are magical should not have the depiction shown until the GM marks them that they are indenitifed and then the player knows what it item is.

Generally, handing loot to another character (or from the DM to a player) within a campaign should be high on the priority list...
Handing loot to other characters would be great!
