Please update your "Rich Text Editor"... It is no good.
I tried multiple times to create clickable thumbnail images to external links. But when you insert and image and try to make it a link it doesn't render on the campaign page. The thumbnail images render in the Rich Text Editor but once you Save it shows up as HTML markup on the published page...
I agree with some of the other comments on here that this should not even be considered a "Campaign Manager" feature. It's just 3 poorly functioning editable text areas...
I have high hopes for D&D Beyond. I know you guys can do it! Invest in more badass UX / UI Designers / Developers and you will get there. Thank you!!!
I did a search in the thread and didn't get any results, so if I'm echoing someone else just consider this another vote, but I feel like giving DMs the ability to send Player Handouts to characters in a campaign wouldn't be too hard to do. It's a standard feature in VTTs, and I know that DDB isn't going that route, but I think it goes well with the overall theme of helping D&D go paperless. Maybe add a tab on the character sheet, and the DM could have the files uploaded (or hyperlinked from imgur or somewhere) in advance, and then during the session they could just check off the names of the characters who get the handout and then click "Share" and the players could then access it from that tab.

Ooh, you could even have a rudimentary real-time messaging system to chat between players. Send secret notes or handouts through it. And a button on handouts to click on and send to certain players in the campaign. Actually, that could extend to a lot of things like maps and NPC's and spells, etc. Campaign-based so on the campaign page somewhere would be neat.

Or you can send your files to your group's Telegram group and if you want it to be secret, just send it to the targeted individual.
The problem with little pieces of paper is that every other players can see you do it, they will become curious and will want to know what just hapenned. thus making it hard to manage meta gaming.
with PMs, this is something much harder to spot.
Me and my group uses facebook for it. been enjoying it much better then come with me in the next room.

As a simple feature, It would be great if I could create a character and mark that character as an NPC. This would only allow the DM to see that character and not the players.

Or let the player see that the character exists, but not what his or her stats are. Both options should be available.

Uhm... I'm already doing it.
I could do that a gazillion ways. Telegram, Signal, Discord, Facebook Messenger, all of which defeat the point of having it integrated into a single system through a single site: DDB.
I am not sure where else to post this, (if there is somewhere else, please inform me), but I recently uploaded a homebrew feat, and four days later, nothing has changed. All my other homebrew creations were done in one or two days. Is there some major source of delay?
Thanks,
-Kael

In terms of place to post, there is the homebrew thread, or you could star a new one. In terms of your question, there is currently a 1500 item backlog in homebrew. Current time frame for approval is 2 weeks. The mods who vet it are volunteers who have day jobs; they've been overwhelmed with submissions.

Thanks, I was wondering whether it was a bug or something. Can someone point me in the direction of what is required to become someone who manages homebrew items? I have always been fascinated with them.

The point is that DDB would not (or at least put on the very back burner) replicate a function that is already very competently accomplished by another application.

Then what was the point of making beyond then ?
Based on what you say they wouldnt replicate or do beyond all together because of roll20 and fantasy ground which both does exactly what beyond does.
Lets be honest, they are doing this for the money. thats what a company does.
That said... The forum already quite greatly covers the private messaging. But i do agree that some kind of chat in the campaign management would help greatly.

I would also love to have like in the DM section all the important info auto visible from the characters that are a part of the campaign. like passive persection, AC etc so you don't have to task the players and can be used for you DM screen
Hmm, this thread is twelve months old - is Curse even bothering to do anything about campaign aids? Or is it just going to be an electronic book store with some character generating usefulness? If Curse is actually going to do something, I would have thought at least some basic campaign aids would have been provided by now.

Can we let players see each others’ character sheets? This is a really silly, frustrating, pointless restriction right now.
that should be a option on the DM to turn on and off
Kind regards
