So, I made the above mentioned character, the race giving me the Minor Illusion cantrip and then The Subclass giving me Minor Illusion as well with the option to pick a different cantrip if I already have said cantrip, but there is no drop down box or any other option to actually make that happen, instead I have 2 instances of Minor Illusion in my list, one being marked as 'Improved Minor Illusion', that part being rather helpful to be honest.
Oh hey, it's this report again. You'd think other races or a multiclass that get minor illusion would get mentioned some time, but it is always gnome illusionist (though it has been a while since the last report).
*clears throat*
This bug has existed on DDB for as long as the PHB and character sheet have. Thanks for reporting it though. It is better for a bug to be over reported than go unreported. The dev team will fix it when they can.
Tl;dr Everyone knows, it will get fixed eventually (2d100 weeks).
In the meantime, create a homebrew version of school of Illusion and swap the spell.
So it's just a feat that adds a wizard cantrip? I mean it is definitely a work around that has beed suggested before, but hardly worth publishing. And only people with subscriptions can even use it, while anyone with 5 spare minutes could make a workaround themselves (which isn't even the point of bug report threads in the first place).
Moreover you spammed this in at least 4 different threads (some of them necro'd). Can a mod combine these threads so if someone tries this again, at least my time is only wasted once?

Or, you could create a feat or magic item that grants the replacement cantrip.

I added a feat to fix this bug, just assign it to your character.
