Sorry to be that guy. But I bought the artificer and the steel defender. Everything is working fine exept that I like to know the maths behind the steel defender stats. Cause I see his hit point rising whene I level up the battle forge I did but I don't know why. It could be usefull for character creation and all to know witch of my stats affect what part of the steel defender, even if dndbeyond calculate it automaticaly.
In the compendium version of Last War, it has the following listed for the Steel Defender Hit Points in its stat block:
Hit Points equal the steel defender’s Constitution modifier + your Intelligence modifier + five times your level in this class
It was not listed if you look at Artificer as a class, or in the steel defender monster page, so I would not feel bad for not understanding. It was not easy to find.
Thank you ! The thing is that i didn't bought the compendium. I wasn't interested in the Eberron as a setting, cause my players play in the azur sea. But, the classe interested me, so i bought the subclass and the monster for 5 boxes.
