I just realized you can do this. Simply type skeleton. And so on...
Cool. If oddly hidden or under-hyped.
Anyways, I'll throw my lot in with a focus on better format and the ability to create multiple pages underneath a campaign so as to better sort out DM notes and the like.
Edit: I was responding to my own post lamenting the lack of pop up stuff in the campaign section. You can do this by typing [M0nster[NAME[/m0nster] or [Sp3ll]NAME[/Sp3ll].
Is there a list of such commands somewhere? And does it work in other places or just the forum?

I didn't see a list anywhere. It works in Campaign Management & Homebrew Creation & Forums...so, everywhere?
I figured it out homebrewing an item but using the template for Goggles of the NIght...they had typed in the box something like [s3ense]darkvision[/s3nse]. I just ran with it. Pretty sweet, yea?

The only list I know how to find is here, and that's using the Global Search.

We need a true homebrew tool, akin to http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/new, it's nice to be able to homebrew certain things, but having an open editor (in addition?) to create and then tag anything else would be optimal.

Any homebrew system on D&D Beyond needs to have data behind it, so it can work with the character generator and the Campaign Tools that are being developed. Allowing a free text homebrew solution as you suggest would work in a different direction to the intent of this site.
Option allowing a character to be copied E.g. so i can tinker around with different builds rather than having to recreate entire character from scratch
Option to add custom languages/tool proficiencies e.g. from learning through downtime.

Right now with encumbrance I have maybe 180lbs. Some things I can put into my bag of holding and then they don't count as encumbrance. In our current campaign we are travelling with a cart. We have put loads of heavy items into the cart which is pulled by a horse.
There is clearly a need for different inventories.
Yes, yes, this times many yesses.
I prefer to use Variant Encumbrance which forces players to use mounts and hirelings to carry most of their gear. Currently I can't do that.
Players should be able to make multiple characters per campaign. My players have two characters each. One per generation that interact with each other. But they cannot put them both in the same campaign. So I have to use two campaigns for one game. Total pain and I have to swap between them as we play.
They can, but need to use the campaign link again to add another character.

Well thank you for this! This is awesome! You can even add a character as a DM of the campaign! They need to make this a little more user friendly, but at least it is possible!!

The most memorable stories always begin with failure.
Top to bottom things i find that are very important for this tool to work right now.
Concerning Adventure Modules:
Ability to share images and maps of your campaign with the players in your group. Maps should have a fog of war option that you can clear as needed, in parts.
A way to make notes in your adventure pages, or something similar.
The ability to click on the campaign map and be directed to that entry on the compedium.
Regarding the Rule Books:
Rule books at the compedium should reflect the exact same text as in the books. There are a few places where the text is a little diferent, this isn't acceptable. Specially if it changes a rule or supresses one.
Unearthed Arcana should be introduced as soon as possible. Most campaigns make full use of those options and they should be here.
Regarding general gameplay features:
A good and easy to use iniciative tracker, possibily with condition tracking and HP management for players and monsters.
Better tools for homebrewing creatures, right now it is just a bunch of text boxes to be filled.
Regarding the text-- it should be identical to books+errata released. It's based on the most recent publication of each source. Wizards changes texts in the books (for clarification, to correct map scales, etc). To my knowledge dndbeyond is supposed to have the most recent officially published version, modified by the most recent published errata. If you find something that contradicts that, it's likely a "bug" or not intended. The first version of the phb is different than the one I bought 6 months ago, but most of the content is the same.

yeah, however there are quite a few instances of diferent points. Including images from the adventure books that seem to be supressed and other things. Content on both sides should be the same.

we received an awesome amount of feedback on the wishlist thread - a huge thank you to all of you for taking the time to write down your ideas and hit that like button on ideas that you would like to see.
We have now closed the wishlist thread and started looking through the results.
If you wish to discuss the results of this wish list, please do so in this thread.
Here's a glimpse of what we have - though please bear in mind that there are many factors to be considered in the decision of what features Curse will work on. Please treat the graphs below as just a bit of insight into what was posted in this thread over the last week.

Maybe a feature to add your own characters to a campaign. A good use for NPCs.
