I'll risk a question at the proverbial last minute:
Regarding the upcoming (I can only hope) character sheet export update: are you working on one future template to be implemented that will replace the existing one?
Or are there few different layouts you are considering? If yes, would it be possible to leave user a choice ? I.e. what style, format, etc the exported pdf will be?
I'm thinking, one could choose to drop spell page from the final export if rolling a fighter, characted sheet information could be simplified, semi-collated, full, etc.

Not sure if this will still be able to make it to the list of questions, as it is a bit more last minute, but here goes anyway:
Is there or will there be any way to make custom weapons, for example: a slashing weapon with reach, versatile, that does 1d10 one handed, and 1d12 two handed? The homebrewing set up is a mess - will that get cleaned up, or at least explained better?
Also will we get the ability to create custom mundane items? Personal Possessions only goes so far :P
Lastly will there be an option to display Class Features that are active rather than passive in a better location than digging through the Features Tab to find them in a long list? For example, Furry of Blows and it's attendant abilities with Way of the Open Hand. I understand that one is a decent amount tougher, cluttering up the page is not helpful for anyone!
Hope even one of these makes it to the stream, have a great day everyone!
No ETA on launch, but it's pretty much coming sooner than later.
It will launch with the compendium first, and the listings and character builder/sheet will come later.
You won't have to pay again for content you've already purchased for the web version.
The app will have an e-book layout for compendium content, with page numbers and bookmarks.
That's what I saw of it. I got pulled away and missed the rest of what was said about it.
That about covers it. Just other little things like increase/decrease font size, and white or black/dark grey or sepia background, etc. (A lot like Kindle and other ebook apps, actually.)
The main interface is a list of books (only what you own? or full Marketplace? I don't know) and you can click to download whichever ones you want. Then view them very similar to how they are in the Compendium on the website. Also the bookmarks screen apparently allows you to both name the bookmarks (e.g. he had a "Best Rule Ever" bookmark) and put them into folders.
Hopefully the video will be posted to YouTube soon. There is a live demo of it on a phone probably halfway through-ish.
In case anyone missed the live stream, you can rewatch on the D&D Beyond YouTube channel. When we get closer to the next stream (I want to say Friday Nov 17th), we'll create a new thread to collect questions!

Tooltips (Help/aid)
It surely has to be either a Drunken Master Monk or a Hexblade Warlock, both with adequate monoeyed accessories...
