As much customization as you can get into the building system I really like to house rule stuff and would like my rules to be reflected in teh generation of NPC and PCs. Also level limits I can spend hours designing NPC at all sort of levels. I have no problem iwth subs as long as its flexible Good luck
Scanning characters into DnD beyond from a one page character sheet (usually for one-shots)
ie if we’re sitting around at a one shot reading character one-page sheets created in DnD beyond and printed out, we could scan a QR code that just creates the character in our portal
this would be great bc I go to weekly one shots with strangers and there’s no time for everyone to make an account and join, or get the sheets ahead of time from the DM but if we could just scan the character sheet into DnD beyond we could play off of DnD beyond instead of looking everything up one by one
The thing that I most want in D&D Beyond is to be able to have at least one level of containers within a container in the Inventory. 3 or 4 levels would be better. Inventory management is the number 1 best thing about using online vs paper character sheets, and it would be infinitely improved by having containers in containers. I don't buy the idea that the programming is difficult. Arrays of arrays, etc., have been a thing since even long before I got a Computer Science degree in the 80's. Another improvement would be to be able to have decimal values for gold and weight in custom items. Please work on the basics like this instead of clunky, bloated, problem code like the 3D dice.
DnD Beyond must make a class builder for homebrew classes
They are:
WOTC_BrianPerry: We’re first focusing on the Game Platform rebuild, which will unlock greater customization. We definitely intend to make homebrew easier. It’s too early to talk about when and how we’ll support new functionality. What I will say is we’re going to focus on the most common homebrew use cases first, like monsters and magic items.
MAPS is great ! Seamless integration, fluid to run, etc But lacks a few features which are mandatory to play :
1. a way to mark conditions on a token, like the colors circles, even death. How do you handle dead monsters, you wipe them from the maps directly? ?
2. I did not find an easy way to show the different NPC illustrations to the players, with Reveals …
3. Faster way to put the wounds on the token monsters, just a “-1” button preconfigured would be nice.
4. A color for each player for the Point & Click ! Everyone even the DM is red…
5. Dynamic fog of war option would be nice.
6. Last but not least : Quickplay content for older modules. Ex : The Dungeon of the Mad Mage… I want to spend more time playing and less time with prep.
one more thing : when can we hope for a French translation ?

Conditions:
I'd love to see better ways to track conditions. I think just the simple color borders isn't enough. Having Condition rings would be great!
WOTC_Zac: Absolutely! We have border color rings right now, and condition tracking is HIGH on my list of quality of life improvements.
2. For NPC Reveals, the easiest way (right now) is to build a homebrew NPC that is a copy of their generic statblock with a new image.
First is being able to customize Monsters. I'd like to swap out using a different image or even change names for them.
WOTC_Zac: Absolutely! In our Roadmap we call out custom uploads of Stickers and Reveals. Monster token art will possibly get rolled up into that project too. I also have plans for what we're calling "simplified homebrew." Those plans are still a little fuzzy, but as we get closer I'll be doing lots of very public research about how we can best do that.
Can't find anything more for the others, though "dynamic fog of war" is likely in the same category as "lighting effects" in that they want the "Honda Accord not an F-16".
It has likely been noted before, but currently, homebrew library, once a creator publishes content in the homebrew library, it cannot be deleted or it can't be published, made public elsewhere in an alternate form on the site.
Section 7 could be updated to allow creators more control over their content after publication, rather than giving WotC or other users permanent overriding rights. I get it's to keep the content avaialble for other users, if the creator wants to remove the rights they once granted, they should be able too.

Alternately, let us revoke future access. Anyone with it in their collection gets to keep it there but it's no longer discoverable.
I want the character's sight range and area, including Darkvision, if necessary. The Rogues in ALL of my games are always trying to see things (which makes sense), but then I have to set up a circle indicating their Darkvision and drag it over them as they move.
If the DM could also see the sightlines of the enemy, that would be even better.

You can group the circle with the token now, and then when you move one you move both. Problem solved already.
I have a couple of ideas mostly focused around encounter building and Maps VTT, and I will put them in order of priority in my eyes:
1) I would love a feature for the MAPS VTT where you could change map in the same encounter. Say the terrain changes or a portal opens (for example) I can toggle a different map, but still have all the tokens in the same place/with the same stats.
2) I would really like to be able to "upscale" my party as I'm planning encounters (as was also possible in the 2014 encounter builder). Sometimes, I am working on Boss-fights that may only happen in 1-2 levels, and I would like to plan those (in campaign) for a higher level party.
3) I believe it would be terrific to have a "folder system" that would let you organise encounters better and clean up libraries.
4) In the libraries for monsters/spells/equipment I would love an option to just toggle "owned" as you can in the Maps VTT.
5) I would love to see the XP budget again in the difficulty calculation for Maps (the way you could in the 2014 Encounter Builder), that way you know if your encounter was at the high or low end of a certain difficulty.
Generally I really enjoy working with Maps and it's enriched my games numerous times! thanks for all you do and all the work you put in!

Prepare the second map, then when you're ready, copy all tokens, switch maps, and paste all tokens.
I'd love to see a owned/shared content filter for magic/item/feat browser.
A edition filter for the marketplace.
And a "Remember my filter choices" toggle.
This! DnD has so much content but DDB doesnt have a great or intuitive way to filter more easily the huge amount of stuff, be it magic item, equipments, feats, etc. Especially in the sheet, when u are adding new stuff to your inventory. I think the only part of filtering that feels kinda good is with spells

Tokens section for spell effects and summons
For example for the spiritual weapon we currently use an animated sword from the monster manual
Having a tab in tokens for spells then filter by either level or class and have tokens easy to get for different effects and summons.

The last time I posted here I wanted filter improvements. Now I want another.
Please add a range filter to the spell search. How is that not a thing?
