as far is the HB classes i agree with needing that. or at least the archetypes. on the same note. since they put the blood hunter from Crit Roll. why not go ahead and Add the Gunslinger on there? or is it one a packet that i just did not see already?
Gunslinger wasn't original content, it was modified from a Pathfinder class, so it's a little more tricky to bring in legally.
I want most for this edition to end and a new one with good combat from 4E without that paragon and destiny stuff mucking up the stories and creating false expectations.
Watching a player flip through his spells forever is equally awful as watching a player select the same attack every turn.
I might pay for some alternative ways to run older systems and tools to do so.
As a DM who occasionally fudges rolls to avoid a TPK but strives to make things challenging (or at least look that way), I would like to be able to see at a glance:
my party members' remaining Hit Points
significant statistics such as AC, Passive Perception, saving throws
For my spellcasters, how many spell slots left.
For various abilities (Sorcery Points, Ki Points, Channel Divinity, etc) how many uses they have left
Probably one or two other things I forgot about
And I'd like to be able to see these changes in real time.
As it stands, right now I have five browser instances (one per character) tiled across my screen in five strips, which a browser extension for auto-refreshes on a timer because updates made by the players on their sheet are not pushed in real time.
When the browser is that small, it renders the mobile website version, which is good because I can swipe left/right on my laptop touchscreen to get into other details. But still, I would like to see it all on a single page.
It's not that homebrew classes are too difficult to code - this makes it sound like the development team are incompetent, which is CLEARLY not the case.
There are several issues, including that it would require a massive amount of time to code homebrew classes in a way that would ensure they are fully compliant with the character builder and have a meaningful and usable interface for creating them. That time is much better used delivering features that a larger number of people want. Additionally, the review and moderation of published homebrew classes would be very time consuming.
Yeah, sorry. Bad choice of words and I certainly didn't mean to imply the team is incompetent (or like they don't care). I love what DDB is doing and am really excited about the way the service is developing. Honestly, I was kind of gobsmacked at the upcoming character sheet. A bit sore, too, as I only DM. I'm going to have to create some NPCs with it.
2. An option to automatically roll to a die to hit, and for damage. Just a small button next to the weapon or spell to roll the appropriate die.
There is a Chrome Extension called "D&D Beyond Interaction" which enables precisely what you're looking for. Works great for monster stat blocks too. Doesn't work on android or iOS, not until they enable extensions on mobile Chrome.

I am a Canadian Dungeon Master, which means I reflexively apologize when the monsters score a critical hit on the players' characters.

With the new character sheets coming so soon do you think the extension will take a while to work again?

I have no idea. That's a question best left up to the extension developer. Their last post in the forums here (about a roadmap) was February 16, so it looks like they're actively maintaining it in their spare time.

It might have been suggested already but I think that the DM should have a changelog on the campaign so he could see every change the players made on their sheet without having to check each one.
Will d&d beyond support books like Kobold Press's "Tome of Beasts" or Necromancer Games "Fifth Edition Foes" to expand the monster list? I wouldn't mind paying for books like these again.

Best Regards.
They are in contact with third party publishers to have their content on here. They haven't said which ones, or when it will be implemented. But third party stuff is happening, and seeing how KBP is a big one, I wouldn't be surprised if they are one of the ones the team is in contact with.
They never give dates because if they miss the target we all get cranky at them. I'd say this is a particular case where they have little control over the timeframe because of the nature of the negotiations.
It's nearly perfect. The only thing I really miss, is the option too put NSCs and Monsters on the player's site in an encounter I prepared. At the moment you only can add allies on the fly when you've already started an encounter.
If this were added I would say, the encounter part of this app could work as a blueprint for an encounter builder at DDB.

Looking forward to 6E, hopefully by Fall 2021.
Hoping for 4E balance, faster combat, and mechanics separated from character themes.

1. The ability to purchase extra character slots, for those of us with money but not able to do subscriptions.
2. An option to automatically roll to a die to hit, and for damage. Just a small button next to the weapon or spell to roll the appropriate die.
3. Homebrew classes. We have everything but this so far, and I'm sure it is on the way.

Oh. Well color me informed.
I don't watch the updates, as you can tell, so thank you Barbarulo for the update!

It’d be good to have a simple option within the items to reassign it to another player.
So you can transfer goods and items between players in a campaign

Awesome, and thank you for the response.
"So soon"? Like when?
An encounter builder, like in this app on the Play Store:
