Thanks, CharlieRambles, for sharing this. I didn't plan to listen to the update so I would never have found this. BTW, it's a little earlier than the 18 min mark, closer to the 17 minute mark for others who want to find it. I'm very excited to see this in the works.
I don't care about content sharing of adventures. I do care about sharing monsters though. I'd also like to be able to turn off sharing of certain feats, spells and items, primarily because I like to create them and then work on them over several days, but they still pop up as options for my players to choose even though they're unfinished. The way things are now, I have to essentially make sure it's polished and finished before I create it in DDB.
This!
I have wanted to make some items for my players in a campaign that are artifact items that are specially designed for each player but they show up in their items list when i create them in DDB so i have had to remove them and will have to recreate them all a day or two before they get them so they don't risk seeing them by accident. I cant tell them not to open them if they seem them either as it will completely give away any surprise when the get them. So i have to resort to building them else where until there is an option to hide them from my players.
I know I'm a little late to the party, but you can actually do what I think you want already.
When you enable content sharing, your "homebrew collection" is also shared with the players -- that way if you decide you like a homebrew spell or feat, you can add it to your collection and it'll be available to players. The same principle applies to homebrew you create: It can either be in your homebrew collection (and shared), or not (and not shared). The only oddity is that new homebrew content is in the collection by default -- presumably to avoid an extra step for people who just want to see it show up.
What this means is that you can go to your Homebrew Creations page, expand the item that you don't want to share with players yet and click 'Remove from collection'. Assuming you haven't actually made the item public, nobody will be able to see it then. Once you're happy with the design, or the players finally manage to acquire it, you can go to the same page and click 'Add to collection', at which point content sharing will make it visible.
What we are describing here is the published modules we've purchased through D&D Beyond. As an example, Tomb of Annihilation. I am currently sharing the rulebooks I've purchased with my campaign, but I can't hide the modules (Tomb for example) I've purchase which I am running. I respect my players completely, but why force them to have to avoid the temptation of taking a look at "what comes next"? I know it would be hard for me not to peek if I were really enjoying the story. I simply want to check (on/off) what is shared with the players in the campaign and what is not. The way homebrew is handled is a great example but it kind of needs to be book by book for the official published content.

No argument there -- I absolutely agree this is important to sort (in fact, there's a related issue with global search which also leaks potential spoilers). But while off-topic for the main thread, there were the two posts about homebrew content hiding, which is already possible. Hence my clarification.
Adding in my vote for this feature. In preparing to play through LMOP in my first adventure as DM, I required my players to create their characters on DDB for ease of my preparation. I was pretty disheartened to find that one of my players had read through the LMOP adventure using my shared content. I had assumed the adventures weren't even available to players by default. This has to be a no-brainer feature.
Something related I'd like to see, the ability to have the notes on an individual player's character sheet be divided into private and public, with the public being shared on the campaign page in a folder for that character. So if one person keeps a journal for the team, that can be shared, with out everything they keep in notes being shared.
I am on the verge of buying full-tilt into D&D Beyond -- Legendary Bundle, Master Tier, the whole nine yards! However, I want my players to have access to all the rules they need to run their characters efficiently, but I absolutely do NOT want to grant them free and easy access to the adventure modules content or the monster stats. The all-or-none policy for sharing of content has been a show-stopper for me. I just can't justify the expense while the ability to selectively share content is still lacking from the system. I look forward to the upcoming implementation of this critical feature, but I am holding off on my financial commitment to this otherwise wonderful system until it becomes a reality.

I have already purchased all the player specific content, but haven't even bought the MM or any adventures beyond LMOP, due to the fact that one of my players read through LMOP using my shared content just prior to starting our campaign, which I hadn't even considered was a possibility until finding out after the fact.
This really is a must-have feature, and I cannot justify investing any more in this non-PC specific content until this feature becomes available.
Just hear this addressed as kind of "heard and coming" in the 1/19/2018 Live Development update I believe (around 18 min mark).
WELL DONE D&D Beyond, well done. Look forward to seeing it live!

/agree - it is kind of embarrassing to insist my players create characters here BUT DON'T Read Ahead ...
Thanks for the heads up!
Has this been implemented yet? Adding my voice to say it is definitely a needed feature. Curating shared content is a must.
Currently Running:
Odyssey of the Dragonlords | Skull & Shackles | Mythic Odyssey | West Marches of Paradise Vale

I have not seen it live yet but I certainly still feel the need for it.

Of all the things to be in an MVP of this software, this was one of them. Hide adventure content from players, who would have thunk?

Right? The default as it is makes no damned sense to share content with players.

Agreed completely 5e. This feels as if it would be easy to implement, but we're still wishing for it at this point sadly.

I purchased the legendary bundle and subscribed to the master tier but I will not be buying anymore content until I can control what I share.
