I would have to say the rogue. I think because in the real world I am so far removed from being stealthy and sneaky it's not funny...also I am a very lawful and trust worthy person. So in game I tend to gravitate towards classes that I could never really be if this was say the Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk. If it was I would more than likely be a paladin of some sort or a straight up fighter (being a former soldier, that would be my background :) )
I am almost a literal embodiment of a barbarian. It's great. I have an accent that is a mix of Romanian and Russian. Drinks of choice are ale and mead. I have quite a bit of retired strength from when I used to fight MMA, specialized in grappling and floor movements. I'm a knife and axe fanatic as one of my goals is to own some throwing axes ^^
I identify with the Rogue classes the most. All my life I've had a soft step, smaller than most, and easy to forget. It helped in my younger years with my more shady doings and when I was in the military to avoid the dangerous glare of my NCOs and Command.
If I ever get a chance to play 5E (instead of DM'ing) I would play a bard. I even rolled up one for fun, and to have on hand for future use, but let a friends son play it for (what ended up becoming) a one off game.
The reason for Bard is easy. The bard is the musical one. Aside from D&D, I also enjoy writing and recording my own music, and been in a handful of bands. I still play guitar regularly, and buy gear when the funds are available.
I'm curious, as yourself, which class do you feel you most fit into?

Personally, I'd be a bard. I'm a creative person, a writer, GM and Larper. I may be a useless signer, but I can spin a good tale.
If you love a character, you give them pain, ruin their lives, make them suffer. Maybe even throw in a heroic death.
Wizard. Mostly because my work involves research and analysis. Sadly I don't have a familiar to assist me or a tower to complete my work in :)

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
I multiclass a lot but almost all of them are sneaky or a trickster in some way. So i'll go with Rogue :)
Inquisitor ;)
I am the Inquisitor Imperitus. I am judge, jury, and executioner. Draw your last breath now, as I send you to the Nine Hells.
Warlock, with Wizard at a close second. Bending the power of the elder gods to my will is fun, yet analysing the code of the universe is also fun

Bard and Wizard. I like stories, and I love to learn new things.

Easily a Bard for me.

Great thread topic, BTW!
Wizards.
Been playing 'em in one form or another for nearly 20 years.
They have always been a fun and natural fit for me.
I've always loved Bards and/or Swashbuckler type Rogues. I like to be the 'face' of the group.
