I like scrappy characters with weird abilities; that usually means monk or warlock for me. I chose monk here because I've been playing a warlock recently and have the itch for something new.
But overall, there's not a single class I like more than others. I am a huge fan of weird, rarely-used multiclass interactions, funky feats, and generally unique characters.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
Paladin. High charisma means that they can be the face of the party. Great hexblade multiclass, paladins can stay somewhat relevant even with higher level magic. I love playing a warrior, but often I get bored by the lack of options and special resources so their half caster makes it perfect for me.
I'm not sure I have a singular favorite. If I do, it might be paladin. Good marital class with also some fun support spells if you're not dead set on using smite for every spell slot. Can summon a mount.
The casters are fun in their own ways, but I'm kind of a sucker for wizard, getting to try and anticipate which spells in my book will be most useful for the coming day. Getting to add new spells when we find scrolls. Sorcerer metamagic is also great.
Monk I like in concept but something about the execution just makes me not quite satisfied with the class.
Rogue for me is fun in concept but honestly most of what I really love about the class is in the first two levels.
Fighter is a good solid base but whether it shines or not depends heavily on the subclass for me.
I like the sorcerer class, it was my first class when I played pathfinder, which got me into dnd. After that, I played the summoner, and loved it. Makes me wish we could homebrew classes. I also like the order of the lycan for the blood hunter, and with the artificer, I like being able to do weird stuff with pebbles, like make them smell good, or have them produce light. I also like having a infusion, and in my campaign, I had a arm that was clockwork, and the DM said I could have it be able to go into my wrist, so I had it be a bird. It was fun, but had to give away the gem. Thing about that infusion is that it is super expensive in the game (ie, the gem costs so much).
Favourite class in 5e mechanically: Warlock. It just has so many options when you factor in pacts and invocations, and I'd love more classes to have options like that.
Favourite class in 5e thematically: Sorcerer. Getting your magic from some magical ancestor and taking on their traits is an awesome idea. Sadly I find playing sorcerer about as fun as having my wisdom teeth removed.
Favourite Class concept overall: Swordmage. It's not in game sadly, but it's what I'd like to see the most by far.

Technically it's Sorcerer, but that is also my least favourite class. So I answered Fighter, there are somethings i prefer more but they're mostly multicass's or specific to one subclass which I don't feel I should count.
Their extra spells help to scratch that itch when you want to build a particular character concept.
Their extra weapon or armor proficiencies can help to build a martial character when you need it.
Their spells have a nice balance of attacking, support, and utility, and can be geared towards nearly any character concept you might be looking for.
In terms of role playing, having so many deities to choose from allows you to function very much like a Paladin or a Warlock (two classes I very much enjoy, as well).
Likewise, the domain options provide so many different features.
While other classes might allow you to heavily-specialize in a character concept; Cleric allows you to moderately-specialize in almost every kind of character you might desire.
All I can say for sure is my Artificer is my favorite character I've played in 5e. Goblin Armorer and he was a ton of fun! Not sure if that makes them my favorite class but that's how I ended up voting.
No love for the Bloodhunter? I wonder if that's because people who play it don't like it, or if people don't play it and so they can't like it.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

I personally LOVE the Bloodhunter.
It's sort of like a Ranger, but far more hardcore...with all the roleplaying creepiness you'd find in, say, a Warlock.
Order of the Lycan & Order of the Ghostslayer tend to be my favorites.
It probably doesn't rank higher than the other classes due to its origins as a third-party Critical Role class...certain tables might prohibit its use if they only allow certain source materials. And if it isn't allowed half the time; it becomes more difficult for its popularity to circulate.
Heh...circulate. Blood humor.
But it easily takes one of my Top 5 spots for favorite classes.
Monk, definitely. I liked them since 1st Edition. Hadn't really had much interest in any other class except maybe bard (But even then, only because I listen to a lot of music. The whole "I've Been Everywhere - Johnny Cash" motif that bards have is lost on me).
They have all the coolest spells. They have all the coolest abilities. They have great damage, good AC, decent healing, and spectacular support. Con is their third stat, but Lay on Hands gives tanking potential. Thematically awesome and surprisingly diverse with oaths. Nothing gets me hyped more than an Oath of Vengeance going ham on his foes. Only class with a 20th level subclass feature, which I think should be a thing for many more (or even all) classes. Screw you "this level I get one extra use of Indomitable," I get protection from evil and good just by EXISTING. Not to mention Charisma spellcasting lets you lead the charge in combat AND social encounters.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.
How I'm posting based on text formatting: Mod Hat Off - Mod Hat Also Off (I'm not a mod)
I haven't played dnd for long but in the end cleric stands out to me, i like to be aggressive and go for strong attacks from time to time but i always loop back to the same ideology of wanting to help my team, one way or another. So the idea of healing my team and making sure they stay alive is really cool to me. Plus i love the idea of an intimidating cleric

It pronounced Den Sake. It is not Japanese.
Website character sheet not working fix (Hopefully)

Honestly, warlock for the roleplaying potential. Close second is Artificer because I love making inventions and being so versatile.
What about Swordmage do you like?
For me over 10 last years and shape and shifting of DnD i never changed my sweetspot as rogue/fighter combo
and now in 5e i can even excel on it
to be Swashbucker/BattleMaster
my name is Inigo Montoya.
you killed my father
prepare to die

A VERY difficult decision.
Ultimately, I went with Cleric.

It’s a tough class to ignore.
Druid. Being an animal detective all the while having furry critter thief spies to show me a the layout of a building to loot. Fun days.

Fighter
Because I'm a knight otaku. Paladins too... and Rangers are similar enough for me to love them.

Barbarian all the way... Easy to play, fun to RP, and wrecks stuff.

Laugh (...as they are driven before you)
Love (...to hear the lamentation of their women)
