This might have already been asked and I'm sorry if it is, but if I buy an item from a book, i.e. all spells from TCoE, and then buy TCoE book, will I have a discount for the previous items bought?
Thank you.
Yes.

Our group wants to spread the purchases around: Another way to share costs is for different members of the group to purchase different content, and for someone in the group to get a Master Tier subscription. (Sue buys the PHB, Aaron buys the MM, Betty buys Fizban's, etc.) This way the costs are shared, but if the group breaks up for one reason or another, everyone still has some content available to them. This may also a good option if you are part of multiple groups.
Does this mean if I were to get a master subscription, it wouldn't just share my stuff but my friends/players as well if we're all in one campaign?

Aye. It's like this:
Adam gets the DMG and will be the DM. Brenda gets the PHB. Charlie gets the MM Dave gets the Master Tier Subscription.
Adam makes the Campaign on D&D Beyond and invites everyone else.
Dave enables Content Sharing.
Now Adam, Brenda, Charlie and Dave can all access the PHB, MM and DMG.
Hope that clarifies it a bit. :)

-Check your entitlements: see the link in my signature for the location of where to do so. If it says you need to sync, do so
-While you are on that page, scroll down to "Current Product Licenses" and make sure you bought the entire book, rather than just the "compendium only" option. If you bought the "full" book, the SKU (in the leftmost column) should start with SRC. I don't remember what the compendium-only code is, but it will be different.
if I physically own copies of books but want to have access to their content online here, i will have to buy the digital content? Also, in the same vein. I purchased the legendary bundle before the expansion came out. I kinda get ghow you still want me to purchase the expansion items anyway, but I have to ask, was there something I missed that allowed me to get the expansion without paying the extra for them? I mostly don't mind, but money is tight so asking before I work out rearranging my finainces to make this work.
Nope, just like when you buy a second copy of a book at a brick a mortar you don't get a discount buying through an online store for having other copies.

As already answered by masterwitchpoly, yes you have to purchase what you want to use here, even if you have physical copies of the books. You can, however, purchase piecemeal only the things you want from the individual books, you don’t have to purchase entire books. And, as explained in the OP, what you spend on those items is credited toward the cost of the full book. So it’s not any more expensive to buy piecemeal that to buy the entire “book” here. In fact, that’s how I did several of my book purchases here, including the Monster Manual. I bought only those monsters I needed for the upcoming session, until it got to the point that buying the rest of the monster bundle was not much more than buying an individual monster: and there were several individual monsters yet I could have bought, so I got that last handful for less per monster. Then, if I remember correctly, when there was a sale on books, I bought the rest of the MM (the “compendium” text). I did something similar with Xanathar’s.
I encourage you to go back and read the OP, as several options are laid out for you there, many of which take into account budget restraints.
In terms of the legendary bundle question, I’m not sure what you mean by “the expansion.” The legendary bundle was not frozen in time. It has always included all the 5e books that had been published/were in print at the time of purchase. “Were in print” is significant at this point, as the “deprecated” Volo’s and the first Mordenkainen’s book are no longer part of the legendary bundle, and I’m guessing that they have not been since the new Mordenkainens came out. Note that this does not affect those who purchased the legendary bundle before that point. In terms of your purchase decisions, part of the deal with the Legendary bundle is that you get a %15 discount on sourcebooks and adventure books released after you purchased the legendary bundle.
Not sure if this is the place for this but here goes...
I purchased the vehicle Battle Balloon for use with my campaign I'm creating. I can see where it shows that I purchased it, but when I go to the book to view the vehicle, it shows the purchase book page. I cannot see the vehicle information. Please assist. Thanks.
You won't see them in the book because you did not buy the book.
Go to Game Rules then Vehicles to see and access the vehicles you purchased directly.

Just checking before I spend the money... I play a Paladin and I'm currently using the free character creator. https://ddb.ac/characters/87232832/7tZEZl Some options, including all but one Sacred Oath, all but one Feat, and several spells, are disabled. If I buy the PHB for $29.99 does this unlock all options
Yes.

Yes, thank you! Now I don't feel like I need to buy spells and everything for everyone lol
Yesterday I claimed the Monstrous Compendium vol. 2 from the D&D Adventure Calendar. Is there a product key associated with it?
It should be in your account on the Markplace tab. It'll be listed as SRC-00101 for it's SKU.
Gotcha. It didn't appear there right away.

Buying the PHB only unlocks options in the PHB. If you want to get ALL options, you basically need to buy ALL books.
If you want access to most things without buying everything, PHB, XGTE, TCOE, and MP:MOTM contains most of what players may want.
