In my campaigns the Short and Long Rest from the 5e PHB (which are IMO goofy, video-game generous) are not how I want them to work. Can this behavior be tweaked on the D&D Beyond character sheet? E.g. not allowing auto-full health after a long rest? Or will we need to manually reset the HP back to where they were? Thanks, -Rom
No, you cannot alter the fact that long rests full heal. You will have to track that manually.
Variant rules like that are generally not supported in the tools right now.
Personally I hope to see support for variant rules (like Sanity and Gritty Realism rests) in both D&D Beyond and official character sheets. Here’s hoping for some day!

dndbeyond already supports the Gritty Realism variant - since it only involves changing when players are allowed to perform Short and Long rests.
