I am currently running a home game, and one of my players is unable to continue playing with us due to medical reasons. I have an NPC for whom I have created a character sheet in ddb, and I'm wanting to add them to my campaign as an unassigned character, so that I can include them when I use the encounter builder tool.
But here's the issue: I can't figure out how to add the character sheet to the campaign without having to create an unassigned character within the campaign and then re-accomplish all of the building and development decisions I made along the way when I was building the NPC, and I don't really want to do all that work again. Is there an easier way of getting the NPC character sheet into my campaign, or am I going to have to do it the long way?
I've tried going into "manage character" on the sheet, but I can't seem to find anywhere that would let me move them into or out of a campaign without an invite.
From the campaign page, copy and paste the invite link into you address bar. You should then be given the option to use a pre-existing character, or create a new one.
Most common way here is over the private message system. You navigate there by clicking the speech bubble icon to the left of your profile name and pfp on the top banner of this page. DMs can also email you the link to the campaign.
