I love bard from the bottom of my heart (sword and creation especially) but when i have to roll for stats if I cannot get enough point i switch to one that allow for wisdom save to be passed (cleric druid ranger rogue) cause i rather not be a burden player that stay incapacitated for the whole fight
I've only ever played a Barbarian, so I've gotta go with that! I hope I can get to experience the game as a player more in the future, but I'm stuck as the forever DM it seems
I’ve always DM’d and only played once or twice for oneshots, but after 2 years of playing D&D I’m still the DM. But I do like to build characters in my free time and experiment with multiclassing.
Artificer, now I know they are on the weaker side, but I love the whole technology element, and how they can play most of any roles (primarily support).
Warlock, I love a good warlock character, but until level 3 they don’t really kick off, and after level 9 I feel they lose value, so it’s good fun to use them as a 2-3 level dip in gish builds.
Paladin, what’s not to love, except for being a half caster, now it makes sense balance wise, but you just feel that pinch constantly. Despite that as long as I have multiclassed for another form of spell slots (not too much) then I don’t think it’s possible to kill this beast.
Sorcerer, just a mean lean full caster machine, with access to a chunky spell list, they are gorgeous. Now I hear you say: “but Wizard does it better”, and your right, but I just love the metamagic, sorcery points, and their origins. And although Wizard does do it better, I’m determined to prove that they can’t! (but they can).
I have to say Paladin, finally. With the removal of the Lawful Good requirement and actually strong mechanics, plus solid multi-classing potential, these holy crusaders have finally reached a point where I can enjoy them.
I just like "the Flavour" it's been my favoured since way back starting to play and... I just like the exploration/utility of the Class IF it's a game with plenty of Wilderness. Screw the Stats, it's all in the RP for me + I've wanted to be Aragorn for forever. If I'm being lazy/unimaginative as a Player, I'll slip into that archetype easily. Again, though - discussion with the DM, what's gonna fit the Campaign?
Rogues are as close to my favorite class as I can come up with. Too bad that I haven't lately had the chance to play one in a well-considered urban setting, where they tend to shine the brightest. They are of course useful in a dungeon setting, but cities are the best settings for them.
I often multiclass alot of the classes if they have the proper synergy or not, but I had such a great time playing as a bloodhunter and a paladin on separate occasions.
While I like the idea of being so angry and emotionally intense that you manifest superhuman strength and abilities, or of making occult deals with extraplanar creatures that teach you magic, nothing is as cool to me as having a divine force behind the multiverse itself look upon you and say, "yo, you're pretty cool. Wanna use my very essence to work MIRACLES?!"
I'm still new-ish to DnD and haven't tried all the classes yet.
I've played a Dragonborn Fighter and a Half-Elf Monk, both all the way to 20th level. I got a Wood Elf Wizard to 3rd before that game discontinued due to people not being able to make it all the time (I bet everyone's been there!).
While in the future I want to try a Paladin or Barbarian next, I keep finding myself looking back at the Monk and thinking "Hmmm...."
So I guess Monk is my favourite class. I don't know what people think of it power-wise but I really enjoyed the spectacle behind role playing one and using ki points to do some seriously cinematic stuff at times. One of the best examples being jumping across several bi-planes to save someone who was falling. It was my GM's home-brew world and it had hit the Industrial Revolution era. Next campaign the timeline will have moved on and will be similar to the space race of our own history! I'm thinking Dragonborn Paladin for that one.

I have similar reasoning for why Paladin is my favorite (but my reasoning is better). Basically, "I don't even need a god, I'm just so rad that I get my sword magic from the very essence of awesomeness that permeates the universe.

Which class do you enjoy playing the most?
I like to say to myself I don't have a favorite class.
But as a person I have the most in common with a Ranger and I find myself playing Rangers more than any other.
I have never played a monk.

Don't have a favorite class in 5e, there are so many good ones to choose from!
To put that into perspective, my previous favorites:
v3.5 - Any spellcaster
V2 - Paladins & Druids
AD&D - Paladins
Playing D&D since 1982
Have played every version of the game since Basic (Red Box Set), except that abomination sometimes called 4e.
I have to say Paladin, finally. With the removal of the Lawful Good requirement and actually strong mechanics, plus solid multi-classing potential, these holy crusaders have finally reached a point where I can enjoy them.

Wizard and Fighter. Though probably the former, just because of the sheer amount of cool builds I can make with it.
I've always really wanted to try Rogue out though.
BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!

The two most versatile classes. I also love these two
?? Which two classes?
Sorry, I was replying but misclicked to post button. I was talking about warlock and rogue
Gotcha. I feel they multiclass really well too.
Absolutely the Cleric.
