Are we going to get Kobold Press books, specifically, The Book of Ebon Tides and Tales from the Shadows? I really want to run the dark fey and shadow plane inspired adventures from Tales from the Shadows.
They play these pretty close to the chest. Pretty much make the announcement the day it goes live. So to answer the question they’ve not said anything one way or another.
As far as I can tell, Darrington Press, Dungeon Dudes, Ghostfire Gaming, and Hit Point Press have not publically backed ORC, at least according to this list on Paizo's website. Kobold Press on the other hand is backing ORC publically. Hopefully, that pattern is just a coincidence, but I would not be surprised if there is still bad taste in people's mouths that prevents further cooperation. Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, and Foundry backed ORC too, but since they are VTTs, they are in a different position compared to third party publishers.
But yeah, take my speculation with a grain of salt.
I am not particularly adventurous with third party stuff, I mostly just want Matt Mercer's and Keith Baker's stuff on Critical Role and Eberron. However, it would be nice to see more of third party stuff on Beyond, even if I do not really care for most of it. Hopefully with more money Beyond makes, they will eventually get around to fixing all the broken stuff and implement improvements.
Well, it seems that the long and short of it is that I am either going to have to find other ways of telling those stories or not do so at all. Where I can buy both the books that I want on Roll20, Roll20 isn't DnDBeyond. Therefore, any players would not have access to any player options or content within those books via the DnDBeyond character creator, forcing me to use the Roll20 character creator while not owning any other D&D source books or content on Roll20 either.
This whole thing is making any 3PP content or publications useless to me, no matter how cool I think they are.
I am very sad about this.

If it's player content you're after, you can always homebrew it. My understanding is that if you then DM a campaign, your homebrew creations are shared automatically even without a sub.

Before Wizards started publishing third party products on Beyond, you could not purchase Kobold Press content on Beyond. After they started selling third party content on Beyond, you could not purchase Kobold Press content on Beyond.
Nothing has substantively changed, and therefore “this whole thing” has left you in the exact same position regarding Kobold Press as you always were. Your sadness comes not from D&D Beyond rendering the content “useless to you” - the content is exactly as useful as it was a year ago - but your own changing perspectives. You now see the shiny new toy of third party content integrated with D&D Beyond, and that new you is making you think less of the less shiny products which did not change.
Additionally, it should be noted, you always have had the ability to use third party products on Beyond - you can use the homebrew system to add that content, as long as you do not publicly punish it. Sure, that takes more effort than purchasing, but, again, that is the same as it was before Wizards started selling some third party content; nothing there has changed for Kobold Press.

Perhaps you’re right.
In the past I was quite against the content that was being put out by 3PPs, but it seems to have increased substantially in quality as of late, to be at least as good in quality as Wizards own stuff.
At least the big publishers works, like Kobold Press et al.
I don’t know. Maybe it always was, and it’s just a change in how I think and feel about DnD.
Though to be honest, I’m not sure what that says about me, that I can change from being a 1st party purist who is all pro-“official” content, to being someone who is actually enjoying some of the third party stuff.

Pretty cool. Hopefully if the sales of that book go well, we’ll see others popping up in the near future.

I agree. Highly suspicious that TWForgeCleric asked about Kobold books and GPyromania subtly drops the link. Highly suspicious indeed. 😏

agreed, has anyone yet to see them both in the same room together?
Well we know @TWForgeCleric wears glasses, and I feel like @GPyromania wears a cape, just sayin'.
CENSORSHIP IS THE TOOL OF COWARDS and WANNA BE TYRANTS.
Wonder what happens if TWForgeCleric asks for a million dollars..?
I dunno, maybe we all just fell for a gorilla marketing campaign. 😏
